I have certain expectations as a frequent hotel visitor in the United States but I understand expectations can tend to be different in another country, so for this review I'm taking that into account and grading based on the hotel staff's eagerness to ensure that I have the most pleasant stay possible.
On my first day when I checked in they gave me a somewhat claustrophobic room with a broken refrigerator. When I went to the receptionist later and asked for a room with a window to the outside she moved me at no additional cost and made sure the air conditioning and refrigerator was working before she left me. The next day when the tv remote wasn't working another staff member brought batteries and stuck around to help me figure out how to connect to Netflix.
Each morning when I went to get my free breakfast on the 6th floor the staff cooked me a delicious home-cooked meal. And when I looked up traditional Colombian breakfasts on my phone, (for example, Calentado, and Caldo de Costilla) she was happy to bring the ingredients and prepare it for me the next day.
The front desk receptionists weren't fluent in English but were skilled beginners, and when they didn't understand something they were patient with me as I translated using my phone.
Overall I had a pleasant stay and I would be likely to stay again if I visit this city in the future.

The hotel’s location was excellent, very convenient and close to many points of interest. The staff was also friendly throughout the stay. However, the noise at night was quite noticeable and affected the overall quality of sleep. Improving the sound insulation would make a big difference in the overall guest experience.
