Really beautiful place to stay. It runs along a walking path with a view of the mountains, parks and gardens, and there are many fishermen in the morning. The walk to the Lawson is ~15min but I enjoyed it every time. The baths rotate men/women every other day, but you should hope you get the one with the big window; it is beautiful and very comfortable.
It is cash only!! I checked the booking.com page before checking in but somehow missed that. They’re flexible about letting you pay the next morning, though.

とても素晴らしい滞在でした。お部屋は清潔で快適で、日本らしい雰囲気を楽しめました。朝食はとても美味しく、地元の食材を使った丁寧なお料理でした。景色も静かで美しく、とてもリラックスできました。スタッフの皆さんも親切で温かく迎えてくださり、心に残る滞在になりました。I really enjoyed our stay at Togawaso. The room was clean, comfortable, and had a traditional Japanese atmosphere. The breakfast was delicious and beautifully prepared with fresh local ingredients. The view was peaceful and relaxing, making our stay even more special. The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming.

Location and view were obviously incredible. Staff was super sweet and helpful. Nice hot bath. Room was clean and spacious. (Mine had no view on Fuji though just to keep in mind)
It was almost all perfect except two very small details;
1. The room needs a little light other than that rather unpleasant ceiling light.
2. Pillow was very thin.

Location is the biggest win. You can walk to Lake Kawaguchi, nearby parks, and convenience stores easily. If you want to explore the area on foot, this place is hard to beat.
The onsen (hot tub) is separate for men and women. It’s very small, but clean and genuinely relaxing. No luxury here, but it does the job well. There’s also a large Japanese-style dining hall, and they offer free coffee and Japanese tea, which is a nice touch.
The futon is uncomfortable. Because it’s on tatami, it shifts when you move.
Privacy is almost nonexistent. The walls have poor insulation, when people in the next room talk, you hear them clearly.
The staff are polite but cold. They’re respectful, but don’t expect friendliness, warmth, or smiles. Service feels mechanical.
