Al Moudira Hotel

The architecture and interiors, the food, the staff, but most of all the authenticity, heart and soul of this special place.

Nothing

Absolutely amazing stay from arrival to departure. Everything was impeccable. We have received the best service throughout our trip in Egypt (Youssef was very kind assisting us). I’ve seen a lot of photos before arrivals, but Al Moudira still exceeded my expectations - photos simply don’t do justice to this place. We loved the buildings, rooms, gardens and the vibe here - an oasis in the desert. The 3 restaurants also surprised - also the best we had in Egypt (especially the Khan Al Moudira Lebanese/Egyptian cuisine).

If there is anything, I would only hope the hotel provides a bit more options on shuttle buses - it’s a pain to come back from east bank in the evening.

Al Moudira is a beautiful oasis. Every detail of the hotel has been thought about and local artisan work used so beautifully. The food is amazing and all the staff.

There is nothing I didn’t like. Wish we could have stayed longer

Beautiful property worth exploring.

The double doors to the rooms are a terrible idea. Only one side opens, the other side is bolted shut which "can" be opened but takes too much effort. So if you have a backpack, you need to "squeeze through" every time. The showers are only rainfall style which I personally dislike as it's difficult to shower without also washing your hair. Most hotels would offer an angled shower head along with the rainfall style. Location is FAR from everything. So we ended up eating dinner at the hotel every night which is expensive although decent food. However, the first restaurant we had a reservation but were sat in an overflow area with not enough servers. Furthermore, the waiter made a mistake with our order and refused to fix it until I called for a manager who promptly did. Not what one expects when paying for a high end dinner.
