"Location, the pool, the proximity to the ferry, the staff, shops close by. Fantastic food served there. That pool is as good as it looks in the photo. You can do your washing as well."

Hotel is very close to the river and other restaurants. A very nice neighbourhood and the personel are kind and helpful.
Same breakfast everyday and you can hear everything from outside.

Pyramids Luxor Hotel & SPA – Decent option on the West Bank, but the location has trade-offs. I stayed at the Pyramids Luxor Hotel & SPA on the West Bank in Luxor, and overall it’s a reasonable mid-range choice if you’re specifically looking to be closer to the main attractions like the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple, or Colossi of Memnon. Breakfast was fine/appropriate – nothing spectacular, but it was consistent and sufficient each morning with the usual Egyptian buffet items (bread, cheese, eggs, fruits, etc.). No major complaints there; it met expectations for the price range. Bedding and bathroom were okay/acceptable – clean enough, comfortable enough, nothing luxurious but no real issues either. Towels, sheets, and shower were all say (acceptable) level for a 3-star-ish property. The hotel seems quiet and basic, with friendly staff from what I’ve heard elsewhere, but based on my experience, it’s best suited for people who prioritize proximity to West Bank sites and don’t mind the daily Nile crossing routine. If you’re planning mostly East Bank activities or want easy access to restaurants/shops without extra transport hassle, I’d look at East Bank options instead.
The biggest downside is the location. Being on the West Bank means you’re not in the main East Bank hub (where most tourists, restaurants, and nightlife are). Every time you want to cross the Nile to visit Luxor Temple, Karnak, the museum, or just eat out in the evening, you have to take the ferry/boat. The public ferry is cheap but always packed with crowds, slow, and chaotic. The faster “quick” boat costs significantly more (several times the price of the regular one), which adds up quickly if you cross multiple times a day. It’s inconvenient and an extra expense/hassle that many people don’t anticipate when booking a West Bank hotel. If your itinerary involves a lot of East Bank sightseeing, this could become frustrating. WiFi was disappointing. It sometimes worked at the reception area (not reliably), but in the room it almost never functioned properly. If you need internet for planning tours, maps, or staying in touch, don’t count on it – you’ll likely need mobile data instead. Would I stay again? Probably not, unless my focus was 100% West Bank archaeology. It’s not bad, just inconvenient for many visitors. Acceptable but with notable drawbacks due to location and WiFi.
