Lovely B&B in a lovely town.

Location is excellent--close to restaurants and sights. The room was large, attractive and comfortable. The staff was super friendly and helpful.

I would have preferred a walk-in shower (however, I didn't ask for one). The bathtub was difficult to manage and probably needs to be kept for fit people. The building is very old, which gives the B&B a lot of character. But the stairs are tricky (especially at night) and pitted here and there with dips.

A romantic atmosphere in a historic building

everything is like a romantic story. The 500 year old house renovated modern but with elements that sends you in that time. the staff was more than nice. they were friendly and helped us with a late check-in, with useful informations about where to eat, where to go for a lovely beach. If we will be in the area again we would love to return as guests.

the fact that there is no privacy if you travel with another couple or with kids/teenagers. the toilet and shower are separated by glass doors that doesn't give you the necessary intimacy (but we were able to leave with this :))) We would have loved some furniture/shelves to put our stuff in the lavatory area and regarding the clothes.

Ventimigilia is a Beautiful Beach Town

B & B Casa Fenoglio is a beautiful property in Old Town Ventimiglia. Ariana is a perfect host who has decorated the B&B with lovely antiques and serves an amazing breakfast every morning.

Fabulous central location. All mod cons. Beautiful rooms. Spacious. Very helpful and friendly host who gave us excellent advice for eating out and making the list of our holiday. Loved the option to have breakfast on the terrace. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. We can’t wait to return!

Old style modern love!

We had a very warm welcome from Arianna, and excellent communication which was very important as we were arriving by train during a train strike and timings were challenging. It was lovely to stay in a genuine old Italian building that has been sympathetically restored by the owners. As far as breakfast was concerned, nothing was too much trouble - fresh fruits, local breads, and the best coffee we had in Italy! We can't wait to go back to Ventimiglia!

Stepping into history itself.

Walking along ancient stone-paved streets and pushing open a 500-year-old wooden door, we stepped into a world where time seemed to stand still. Behind the weathered walls of Casa Fenoglio lies a haven that is warm, immaculate, and elegantly designed. The three guest rooms are named after iconic characters from the works of Italy’s greatest writers. We stayed in Beatrice, inspired by Dante’s Divine Comedy—and indeed, sleeping in a room that's five centuries old, beneath the famous verse "Lucevan li occhi suoi più che la stella", felt like stepping into history itself. The next morning, the experience was made even more memorable by the hostess’s beautifully prepared and abundant breakfast—a reflection of genuine care and hospitality. Our only regret was that we didn’t have more time. Sitting on the balcony, enjoying the view and chatting with the hostess about Italy’s rich culture and history, would surely have been an enriching experience. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a stay that combines comfort, character, and a deep sense of place.

Charming rooms in a charmingly restored BnB in the nice hilltop town of Ventimiglia

The check in staff wants to know when you want to check in to help facilitate entry into the 'old town' with its one way narrow streets - very useful and very friendly check in process. Rooms were big, nicely laid out and modern but with high ceilings. There are only 4 rooms with a charming shared living room ( where breakfast is served) with a nice selection of wine for a small charge. It was nicer than many private living rooms I have been in.

A good stay in the old town of Ventimiglia

The B&B is located in the old town of Ventimiglia. It takes 10-15 min to walk from train station to the apartment. The hostess gave us very detailed directions. She is very friendly and personable. The room is beautiful and quiet. Breakfast is very nice with lot of varieties. We had some really good meals in the restaurants nearby recommended by the hostess.

If anything that could be better, that would be the privacy inside the apartment. It is an old structure renovated and converted to a B&B. The bathroom and shower room are separated by glass walls from the bedroom area. It can be noisy to use the bathroom and flush especially in the middle of night.

A very enjoyable but short break in a great B and B. thank you

beautifully presented room with very comfortable bed. the reception/common room was very spacious and very nicely decorated. B and B in a very central but very quiet location. Bars, restaurants etc within a few minutes walk. Host was extremely helpful and welcoming. All in all - a very enjoyable stay.

The only thing we were unsure of was the location of the bath in the room. It looked great but we were afraid that when having a shower, the water would spray over the lovely wooden floor.

Nice stay over in Old Ventimiglia

Very good host. A/c not working so room a bit warm at night but fan helped. Nice location in the old town with useful restaurant recommendations from the host. Water, wine and beer available in the lounge room at very reasonable prices. Host gave very good directions to free parking area and good suggestions with regard to getting the most of our stay. Breakfast served on a lovely balcony.

Would prefer a walk-in / stand-up shower rather than a bath with with a shower attachment in the corner of the room. It worked ok though. Recommended restaurant near the B&B (La Pharmacia) served very good food and good wine but ripped us off on a fairly ordinary bottle of red wine €35! We’d get it for less in expensive Dublin!

Exceptional stay at the heart of the old town

Casa Fenoglio exceeded my expectations - I had such a wonderful stay. The hotel is very charming, it has a beautiful terrace overlooking the main street, generous and inviting lounge, and a perfect breakfast! The rooms are very generous with high ceilings, big windows, and a very comfortable bed. Arianna was so welcoming, helpful, and attentive. She gave great recommendations for restaurants and sites. I recommend this place wholeheartedly!

The location is a bit hard to find by walking from the train station so make sure to read / follow the host's instructions
