Loved our stay at Tafoni- in addition to the wonderful room and staff, it was quiet but readily walkable to restaurants

Beautiful, comfortable and thoughtfully decorated room, as well as a large bath with an extraordinary jacuzzi tub. The staff were wonderfully kind and attentive and the breakfast buffet was lovely. The chef was also great for dinner. Would highly recommend.

We loved being there. It is truly a cave hotel experience and the value for the money unbeatable.

This is a property, whose elegance and charm come to life in the soft light of the evenings. We loved the fire pit outside where we could sit for digestifs and listen to music. We loved the elegance of the rooms and the comfort of the beds. The staff was attentive and we felt enveloped by their wonderful hospitality.

I did not hear clearly that in order to have housekeeping service, we needed to request it by putting the card on the door knob outside our room. We didn't figure that out until the last day, so we were a little surprised when there was no housekeeping for three days. Of course, requesting housekeeping solves that problem!

Great location, in a small town away from the hustle of Goreme. Amazing hospitality from the staff and very responsive to all of my questions.

Very picturesque rooms Very friendly and helpful personnel, at the reception as well as in the restaurant It is a small hotel so it was always very quiet, felt like we were the only people staying Delicious food and huge servings both for breakfast and for dinner

I was expecting a room with a view, preferably toward the baloons. I do not think any room has a view, the windows are small and you see just the rocks outside. There is no roof terrace or anything similar. The town in which the hotel is located is not the main in the area, which makes it quiet but sometimes a little too quiet. A little outdated for what is supposed to be a 5* hotel.

Everything we needed but more time

Tafoni is close to everything we wanted to do. We especially enjoyed the breakfast in the garden...so homey with the pretty little birds. In a cave hotel, I suppose each room is different, but ours were both beautifully furnished and filled with extra touches. Their help with ballooning was definitely needed...it helps to have an advocate who speaks Turkish :)

My husband booked too short of a stay. There were some cave churches we couldn't get to because of time.

Want and need to return to spend more time

My stay at Tafoni House was a last-minute decision. What a fantastic decision. The only problem was my stay was too short. The destination, hotel, food, and friendly and kind-hearted locals! Since it was a last min decision to visit the area, I spoke with the staff, who arranged a wonderful excursion, including a morning Balloon ride viewing the stunning scenery. I need/want to return to spend more time in the area. Shout out to the Owner Ferit, Chef Sadi (A true magician), and our waiter Samet! A different recommendation from me. One last thought, I was a little nervous about claustrophobia in the cave room; I had a window and did not feel closed, and it was absolute comfort!

Honestly, there was nothing I didn't like. If I had to list one thing, it was I did not spend enough time at the destination. There is so much to do in the area.

Short, but fantastic stay

Although my stay was a short one, I had an absolutely fantastic stay. I wish I would have book more days in Cappadocia as the hotel and the area excedeed my expectations. the hotel itself is beautiful, curated art, amazing food, attentive and friendly staff. Concierge turn my 1 day stay into and unforgettable experience. For sure I will come back to Tafoni House and Cappadocia.

Most authentic cave hotel with a very chic interior design yet very comfortable to relax in after a day of discovery. this hotel is the best location in the center of Cappadocia. The food at this hotel was amazing. The chef was equally pleasant as his talent in cooking arts! I also appreciated Yusef at the reception helping me book hot-air ballooning and an amazing day of touring with a private guide. Staying at this boutique property has been truly experiential! I differently will tell my friends about this jewel ! + O

I had no idea a Turkish breakfast could be so delicious and well-presented. I really didn't need to eat lunch after such a fulfilling meal. Service with a smile, wonderful food and surroundings. Can't wait for my next meal there.

This cave hotel is a gem in Cappadocia

An excellent luxury cave hotel. I stayed in this hotel for the first time in October 2018. I love this hotel especially the staff from the front desk to the kitchen that makes you feel like family/friend. June this year was my second stay. They put me in the same Suite no. 106 (Gold Finch Nest) with a balcony overlooking The Valley for a great rate. Perfect for honeymoon couple or a quiet getaway. Highly recommended.

Clean rooms, delicious breakfast & dinner, helpful staff and central location. This hotel has everything you need. I had a short stay during my business trip but my next stay will be with my family in spring. You can prefer this cave hotel with peace in mind.

スタッフの対応が1番良かった点として挙げられます！いつ誰に話しかけても優しく対応して頂きました。最も印象に残ったことは、帰りのピックアップ待ちの際、チェックアウトして半日過ぎていたのにも関わらずお茶とケーキを提供してくれたこと、荷物を運んで寒い中遅れたシャトルを一緒に待ってくれたことです。部屋の中も清潔感、広さ等申し分なく快適に過ごせます。私はジャグジーを気に入り気球ツアーからホテル滞在時間の半分以上はそこで過ごしていました。内観、外観も写真通りで写真映えとしても申し分ないかと！

良くなかった点ではなく、滞在予定者に注意にはなるのですが、3点だけ。 1点目として、ギョレメというご飯屋や土産屋等が多くある市街地からは車で10分、徒歩で1時間弱の距離にあることです。交通手段はタクシーを手配するしかありません(約1000円)。ただ、オルタヒサル(ホテルから徒歩5分程度)にも食事処、土産屋、コンビニ、カフェ等は一定数あり数日の滞在であれば困ることは無いかと！ 2点目として、ツアー等のホテルピックアップ場所対象外になるものもあります(その場合自分でピックアップが可能な場所まで移動する必要有)。私は気球、バギー、乗馬の3つのツアーに参加しましたが、バキーのみピックアップ場所対象外でした。 3点目として、屋上で気球を見るということは可能ですが距離としては遠いため、ギョレメと比較すると景色映えとしては劣ります。
