Hands up best hotel I have booked on Expedia to date with everything mentioned on description was above expectation. Owner amd staff so welcoming felt like home to home. Breakfast spread delicious and plenty of options

Potamia is, without question, the nicest hotel I’ve ever stayed at. What sets it apart isn’t just the stunning setting or the thoughtful design — it’s the warmth and sincerity of its owner, who is easily one of the kindest, most genuine people I’ve ever met. After just three nights, he felt more like a friend than a host. You quickly realize that Potamia is a true labor of love — a lifelong dream brought to life — and that passion is reflected in every detail.
The daily breakfast is nothing short of extraordinary. Using produce grown in their own garden alongside the best of what the region offers, each element is crafted with care and quality. Freshly baked breads, artisanal cheeses, house-made cherry and strawberry jams, decadent cakes (yes, a different homemade cake every morning!), and antipasti like olives and semi-dried tomatoes — it’s an experience unto itself. Honestly, the breakfast alone is worth the stay.
Then there’s the view. The hotel overlooks a tranquil valley dotted with ancient cave dwellings and historic ruins. Each morning, you can wander along scenic trails or simply sit back and take in the panorama from your window or the communal terraces. I often found myself torn between exploring Cappadocia or staying put just to soak in the serenity.
Originally, I saw Cappadocia as a once-in-a-lifetime destination — something to check off the list. But staying at Potamia, and getting to know the close-knit team behind it, changed that. Thanks for the memories.

Wonderful stay! Breakfast was amazing, the staff was friendly, the room was very clean and beautifully decorated, and the hotel offers a stunning view of the valley and Ortahisar Castle
