We moved here from another hotel that was supposed to be 5 stars but was not up to standard.
We found this hotel for half price, with lovely welcoming staff, big room with views on the mountains, located in a relatively quiet street and having a nice indoor pool.
Further, we were allowed to get a shower after our hike, got clean towels, and nice big space where we could rest, repack and charge our phones before heading back to Hanoi by night train.

The location of the Hotel and its view were superb.
Rooms were spacious and comfy.
Staff were friendly and accomodating.
Hotel is very tired. Bathrooms need an upgrade and shower over bath left large puddles on the floor.
Our room was directly below the dining room and in the morning we could hear very clearly noises from the dining room from very early when the staff started setting up and as soon as breakfast started, chairs moving on floors etc.
The inside pool is a little weird, dark and dingy and also tired. Roof above it was very rusty.
The afternoon we went to the bar for a drink we had to get the attention of the staff for a drink, we were not asked.
The day we went to breakfast there must have been a lot of people through, possibly tour groups, and the buffet was quite depleted and there were no clean tables left inside to sit at.
