Thira's Dolphin

Amazing pool area with a beautiful view, where we also enjoyed breakfast. The room was a good size, and the hotel is just a short walk from the main street and bus stop. On the day we left, the staff even gave us a lift to the bus stop with our luggage – such a thoughtful gesture! Overall, we had a great stay at Thira’s Dolphin and would highly recommend it. We also loved staying in Akrotiri, as it feels more relaxed and less touristy.

A minor issue was that the shower holder didn’t work, so we had to hold the shower head while showering. However, this didn’t affect our otherwise great stay.

The hotel is located away from the busy Fira and Oia with breathtaking views on both sides of the pool of the sea, the caldera and Santorini. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable and have a private balcony on each side. On one side, you can enjoy full view of Fira and Oia and see the sunset colour the vulcanic mountains red and orange. From the pool you can see a small church and an old venetian castle (ruin) each just a two minutes walk from the hotel. The castle has a cute little cafe (photo) perfect for enjoying a cafe freddo with ice cream while enjoying the view of both ocean and the caldera. Short walk through alleys downhill to 5-6 restaurants and a minimarket as well as the bus to Fira and Oia. Helpful and kind staff.

Breakfast is simple - mostly bread and cakes. But lovely greek yoghurt.

Amazingly clean, very picturesque location. Pristine swimming pool. Decent sized rooms. Good spread of breakfast. Very friendly and attentive staff. There's lots of open space and spots for photo ops within the property.

Drinking Water is charged. However, there is a mini super market close by to get our supplies. There are bottles that we can shop from the reception too. This is a very minor deterrent.

It had a pool, the sea view was nice, it was very quiet

It was very basic for the price we paid, the breakfast was low quality, there was a lot of dust under the bed. the shower was broken ,the location was remote in relation to the major attractions.the pool temperature was always very cold.there was no beach close enough to walk to.
