We loved the pool area, nice music, not blaring out. Meet some friendly staff. Rooms are a little dated, but that didn't bother us as very clean and comfortable. We booked the hotel as wanted some evening entertainment, and on check in , a lady told us what was on that night and the time. We had an earlier dinner so we could see the entertainment, sat in the area, no entertainment was on felt we had wasted an evening. The buffet hot food was cold and basic. The breakfast in the morning again basic, and found hair in my food , not mine. As I said we loved the rest of the hotel and staff, would I go back , maybe to give it one more chance. Didn't like if you pay more, think they called it premier, you got treated differently. Even had better food , and we couldn't sit in that half of the restaurant. Never have I been to a hotel where that has happened before. They have a lovely hotel and staff, food so need improving. And please no class divivide.

Fun Karaoke 🎤 nights and morning aquatic exercises activities. Entertainment staffs Adanahe, Fernando, Fabiola, Emiliano, Yanina, Mauricio were friendly and fun. Dining staffs Daniel , Cecilia, Poala, Carina, Martha, Salvador, Santiago, Lucia, Luis, Francisco Burgos, Edgar were great with great services. Front desk Manuel was friendly. Cecilia had great smile. We will come back next time. Adriana and Alondra at the environmental and poolside services are great. Housekeeper Lesley is friendly with warm smile. Bellman Arturo and Yoatzy were very friendly and helpful with luggages.

For an all-inclusive resort in January in Los Cabos, GR Solaris Lighthouse provided a good deal. This is a glorious time of year in Cabo. Highs around 80 and lows around 64, with sun all day. The pools cascading down to the beach offer something for everyone. We stayed at the adult pool everyday. Of course, those few loungers were reserved by guests by 7AM most days, but there was never a shortage of loungers and umbrellas at the other pools. The loungers themselves are about like the resort itself: you get what you pay for. Nothing fancy, but fully operational. The food is the same, though we didn’t eat dinner at the resort, instead opting to go into the beautiful town of San Jose or Palmilla or right across the street of the hotel zone. The breakfast buffet was fine as was the lunch. Nothing memorable, but sufficient. Omelette station and burgers kept us happy. The drinks were OK. We don’t day drink much, and our drinks at night were tequila and margaritas. That is hard to mess up or complain about. The actual bars are lacking. The lobby bar is very basic, nothing beautiful about it.. The pool bar is for swim up, so if not in pool attire, it is a no go. The best bar is the lighthouse bar. For some reason, we had it to ourselves from 6-7 PM most nights. The views are astonishing at sunset. The bartender was wonderful. Someone said it was Solaris Club members until 9PM, but we went each night as regular guests. Housekeeping is great, as good as you could hope for anywhere. The staff is delightful everywhere, really. Downsides are the towels, both at the pool and in the rooms. The room towels are tiny and thin and cheap. Motel 6 does better. This should change, as should the policy of one towel per guest at the pool. Come on, man. Ridiculous. Bottom line is this: this is a top end budget friendly resort. Do not expect more. And do yourself a favor and pay a few extra bucks for an ocean front room. Stunning views! The pool view rooms are loud all day from the pool party stuff, and the others look at the sides of buildings next door. We will see what reviews say over the next year, as Solaris recently bought this from Barcelo, so it is in transition., we will probably look elsewhere next time, but this was an impromptu trip and it suited our needs. And what a great New Year’s Eve party they threw!

The grounds and resort is very clean and well kept and staff are all very nice and accommodating.
