My room was in the Gate House building which was separate from the main house. The room was quite large and comfortable with windows that you could open. The breakfast buffet had a nice selection of cold items, fruit + breads with large pots for tea. There is a luggage storage option. Great location near the train station (be sure to use the pedestrian crosswalk). An Aldi Store across the traffic circle for snacks. A section of the old city wall that you could walk on next door. A nice garden area for sitting if the weather is nice. Friendly staff.

Walking distance to city centre. Quiet. Free car park. Guy on front desk was friendly.

Outdated furniture, fixtures and fittings. Needs a refurb. Stained carpet. Tiny TV. Cracked floor tiles in bathroom. Peeling paint by bath. Inconsistent water pressure and temperature in shower. Stains on fabric seat. Full length mirror inside cupboard door which wasn't convenient. Wall mirror hung too low to be used. No plug near TV so can't plug in firestick. Not a smart TV. Could do with a mini fridge. Breakfast uninspiring and basic. No cooked breakfast option. Just filtered coffee, no other coffee options. Overpriced for what it was.
