The rooms on the street side are a bit noisy until late at night, but this is not too bothersome.

Tessaloniki is a beautifull city and specially on Christmas time.

We stayed at City Hotel Thessaloniki and overall we had a good experience. The location is excellent. Right in the heart of the city center. Perfect for walking, shopping, and dining. Our room was comfortable, clean, and met our needs well.

That said, a few issues affected our stay. • On the first day, the bed broke. The temporary fix used stacks of white A4 paper packs under the bed. We were told this was temporary, but it stayed like this for the entire stay. • Breakfast was small but covered the basics. Food was stored in a double-door fridge, which created queues. Seating was limited, so waiting for a table was common. • The entrance leading to the elevators had stairs and no ramp. Moving a stroller was difficult. • There were two elevators, but both were small. Capacity was limited to two or three people, which caused waiting times.

It is my preferred hotel to stay in when I come to Thessaloniki many times. I am satisfied with the service and cleanliness. I can only say that the rooms are a bit small. I would like to thank the entire team.

The rooms are quite small, the breakfast option is not very good, they ask for an additional fee when you want an espresso coffee or cappuccino coffee, overall it is not bad.

The staff is really friendly and supportive. The hotel is at a great location with very easy access to what you need to visit in Thessaloniki. It's very quiet and peaceful. Highly recommend and for sure we will be back soon!!!

Excellent but breakfast is below expectations

The location is perfect. Also, the staff is so kind and always there with a smile support in any possible way. The rooms are very confortable and the ones with balcony great view.

Breakfast was not as expected. Visited the hotel a few years ago and it was much better. For a hotel like this one, breakfast expectations are high. There are only boiled eggs and scrampled eggs everyday. If you wish to eat fried eggs it comes with extra cost which is not nice especially when they used to offer fried eggs in the past. Also, it gets a bit confusing when you wish to get some cheese as you have to wait for other to finish from the fridge. Lastly, there is no tost maker.

Don’t think I would go back

I only liked the location and the lobby.

There was no room on the sink to put your toiletries. The hair dryer was an old type and not useful at all. No coffee machine only an old type of a boiling water machine. The mattress was very bad quality. There wasn’t a small bottle of water offered to us in the mini fridge. The air in the room when we got in was not pleasant and the a/c didn’t work. They brought us a small ventilator. There was some work going on in the hotel and there was a banging noise in the morning. There was not enough light in the bedroom since the room had no daylight during the day. We were changed 14€ for a double Greek coffee and a can of Coca Cola. It’s listed having a hamam but it was out of work. The gym it’s not even a gym. Overall the city hotel has a room for a lot of improvements.

We returned to the hotel we love. This is the third or fourth time

1. The elevator door on the entrance floor needs to be fixed. It gets stuck in the floor and stays open. Other guests have complained about this. The elevator doesn't work like that. 2. The second elevator was broken. 3. There was a noticeable reduction in breakfast. Very modest variety (no tuna or other grain toppings, etc.)

Perfect location

Perfect location. Just one street from the main square and close to the old part of the city, full of restaurants. Nice bars just a few meters away.

Bed was a little bit too soft for us. No view, window facing small area within the builing.

A hotel with a very crowded and small breakfast dining room.

I liked the location of the hotel close to the city centre and many tourist sites.

I didn’t like the breakfast dining room as it was too small and many of the breakfast items were not replenished in a timely fashion. I also was not impressed that you had to pay extra in order to drink a cappuccino coffee.

Bathroom, which has separate units for toilet, shower and sink, with no door to the bedroom; towel holder is on the toilet door, and the floor in front of the sink is often wet since you have to pass through this unit after shower. I was told that this kind of bathroom is in the renovated rooms, but we found the previous were much better (we used to stay often in this hotel before)

Perfect location, close to shopping area, popular restaurant and entertainment area, off the main road, 100-200m from the sea and popular Aristotelous square. Nice rooms. Very good breakfast. Very friendly and polite staff.

Small elevator, taking you to all upper floors even if you want to go down!! Unecessary delay. Special coffees are with a €2 charge, i.e. capuccino, espresso etc. We were not expecting it from a 4 star hotel.

Perfect location

Location, cleaning and the employees were perfect. Breakfast was good and enough.

The size of the room was a little bit small, especially the bathroom. It would be better if the hotel had a free parking area. The one and only problem was the beds. Beds were really so soft and if you have any health problem like me (back hernia and etc.) and should sleep in a hard bed, unfortunately those beds are not suit for you.
