Rio Real Golf & Hotel

It was amazing 5 days in the hotel!

The pillows were too soft, better to add medium softness

Great location, great decoration, right by the golf course, not too big , nice pool area, very friendly staff

Not much space to play with Kids (golf course was not allowing children) No lunch possible at the pool No water bottle refill in the room during cleaning No table on the baby chair at the restaurant

Plenty of small things did not make this living up to expectations for this price point. Kitchen closed at 9 pm at arrival. No coffee maker in the room. No man-sized bathrobe. 2 identical "small" women's sizes. No working internet in the room also not on the TV. as a result only some limited Spanish channels. No working internet TV or Netflix. Curtains not wide enough to properly darken the room. Clogged sink. No "Do Not Disturb sign" for hotel door. A lot of noise in the morning of moving furniture when cleaning rooms. Also golf lawn mower from early in the morning. A pity none of those are addressed, as some comments have been made before and do not ask for major investments.

Amazing cozy hotel surrounded by golf courses. Nice place if you want to play golf or just relax by the outdoor pool with nice views. Very pleasant staff always happy to help with your request. Close to Marbella if you rent a car, but still far enough so you have a calming vibe of the green surroundings.

The hotel staff were lovely and the room and the pool were beautiful. My partner and son really enjoyed the golf

No British TV Channels and poor parking facilities on golf tournament days

The golf course is beautiful. We stayed in December and luckily got a day with really nice weather. Very well organised and easy. With the staff, nothing was a problem. Anything we asked about they knew exactly how to help, we didn’t even have to tell them what room we were in they had everything ready. Beautiful hotel in a great location with an amazing golf course. The views were unreal, you could see the mountains the sea and beautiful greenery. We are coming back for sure!!

Not the fist time we have stayed at Rio Real.. We adore this hotel and love the golf course and facilities. The suites are beautifuly decorated with plush furnishings as is the rest of the hotel. Love this place!

The golf course was amazing. Staff was super helpful. Rooms were comfortable and well equipped.

No room service (for food) except for if someone was sick. Food was ok, but a little limited.

Super relaxing and quiet. Lovely rooms.

Needed a few more staff. Difficult to get ice in the middle of the day and pool bar/snacks not open until 1400.

If you are a golfer this is one of the best locations you can choose. Friendly staff, rooms were clean and very large. Golf course in the pristine condition with amazing views.

The variety of food available for breakfast - very small amount of choices. However a la carte menu for the other meals meet my expectations. Driving range was locate across the street - 8 min walk from the hotel area.

Breakfast was fine - food in the restaurant was good too. The overall facilities are perfect for a couple a small pool with massage etc..

Our stay at Rio Real turned out to a mighty disaster. My silky nightgown was stolen from the room (possible taken accidentally by the cleaner when making up our bed). The Hotel Management offered to reduce the total bill by 100 euros (LOL) - my nightgown was a La Perla worth 600 euros. In the end they did not cover any cost of the stolen item. Earlier the same week we ordering some MOET Champagne to the room, right in the morning (it was my husbands birthday). We had one glass each, left the bottle in the Champagne cooler, and went for some breakfast. When coming back to the room some 30 minutes later the bottle was gone! The cleaner had "cleaned out" the almost full bottle from our room. Yet another morning when returning to our room from breakfast, the lock was changed (our room was the only one with a new lock!). We headed to the reception and asked what had happend and they simply gave us another type of keys for the new lock - no explanation, no excuse. These are the things you would not expect in a Hotel of this standard, and sadly enough it left us with a bad aftertaste. As the setting of the Hotel is stunning, it is truly sad that the staff won´t live up to the same level as for the food, the room and the location.

the property was located some distance from any amenities, which is not a problem. However, we arrived at 8:10pm as expected only to be told the kitchen closed at 8:30pm. So we were basically in a hotel with no amenities from 8:30pm until breakfast next day.

Small, quiet, friendly hotel. Rooms were very good. Breakfast was good. Breakfast available from 8-11 am. Very pleasant, relaxing atmosphere. Staff were very helpful.

The bar and restaurant shut at 9pm. The pool isn’t heated. They could do with a better coffee machine. The coffee was great but there were only two dispensers and they were very slow. Fine when the restaurant was quiet but not ideal when it was busier.
