Lovely hotel and helpful staff

Location and we were kindly upgraded to a full sea view. Loved Viareggio. The receptionist recommended and booked an amazing restaurant in a side street.

Nice traditional hotel offering great facilities and great views.

We were upgraded to sea view family room which was a nice surprise!. Breakfast was superb with lots of choice. Pool area is very noisy due to passing traffic. Bar service was very good with choice of food at sensible price. One disappointment was the alla carte menu, poor choice, and poor food quality.

Evening meal was poor. Far better restaurants close by providing much better food at reasonable price.

Relaxing, beautiful, and delicious breakfast!

The property was absolutely lovely. The pool, and reading garden were a dream. The staff were so kind. We had an early morning and they called and left a message to see if we wanted breakfast boxes made up (I didn’t get the message till I was back in the States due to my e-sim).

Lovely

The location was fantastic for the beech and other restaurants and bars, breakfast was great lots of options, hotel very clean and professionally run. We had some bad weather whilst we were there and we loved that they put out some umbrella's for our use.

Our stay was lovely except for the fact that we had a very large room but sadly it was next to the lift which were very noisy and the corridors seem to echo people late at night so sleep wasn't always undisturbed. Also, we were not made aware of the trousers in the restaurant so even though my husband had very nice tailored shorts we could not eat in the hotels restaurant of an evening, which was a shame as it looked so nice. Drinks at the outside pool bar were also a little bit pricey.

Elegant hotel in the heart of Viareggio

The pool is lovely and quite large. Breakfast is incredible, so much choice.

It is possible to go to a beach club across the street and spend the day at a reduced rate as a guest of the hotel. However, it wasn’t it wasn’t really possible to swim because of the size of the waves and the current.

If one is in Viareggio, this is the place to be.

Once you are in the hotel, all are looked after by the very nice staff. The architecture is indeed 'grand' with the 1920s feel, but with the modern facilities. Loved the pool and also the rental bicycle.

Finally relaxing after first night ...

The pool and lunch menu there; breakfast .. bed's comfortable .. ample room in downstairs bar and lounges ..Good pool accessories

First night was bumpy .. Night receptionist told me I shld have known of extreme noise at night in beachfront rooms .. HOW?? Hmm ..but they moved us to back of hotel following night, so FINE .. 50% of staff are grumpy btw .. but noise later night front of hotel..should have been noted in hotel description???!!!

Excellent facilities and food. Staff are well trained, efficient and friendly. Good location on the sea front and with private parking ( additional charge) Would highly recommend it.

Very relaxing and it’s my second stay here and I will definitely be returning!

Fantastic location, right across from the beach and close to shops and restaurants. Staff can’t do enough for you and the bar staff are so lovely and friendly.

The only one thing and it’s a personal Thing, is I found the pillows a little hard but I still slept well.

Lovely hotel but works out expensive if you can’t use all of the facilities.

The property was very grand, roomy with some great views of the sea and the mountains. The restaurant was very comfortable and airy, pool was very nice and very clean.

The outside area didn’t have enough seating, the sunbeds would be reserved as there was no control of this and then there would be nowhere to go. Also the restaurant was difficult to book if you were staying but not half board.

Very enjoyable stay.

Staff, ambience, hotel itself, poolside bar, swimming pool, evening drinks (special thanks to Nicola), outdoor dining area. We certainly hope to return (this was our second visit).

The shower in the room was a little tricky to use. No light in the cubicle and difficult to adjust to the preferred temperature. The room was slightly smaller than the last time we visited (same room type). However, these were minor issues.

The best hotel in Viareggio (in my opinion). Spacious and beautiful, designed in a classic style, with excellent staff and a delicious, varied breakfast. The pool, located in the park, is large and cozy — a perfect place to relax. The location is superb.

A 'Royal' stay in Viareggio

The hotel is an excellent location on the sea front, it has a divine little garden plus a private swimming pool. Every member of staff went above and beyond to be helpful and friendly. Our room was spotless, spacious and very comfortable. Bus stops at front and rear of the hotel, train station a 20 minute walk. Bicycles for hire. Breakfast was amazing with fresh delicious hot and cold food to choose from. Restaurant for evening dinner is reservation only if you are not half board and you are required to dress smartly. We couldn't believe out luck when we checked into this hotel.
