Château de La Dame Blanche - Logis

The hotel is amazing - beautiful rooms - beautiful property. The breakfast was amazingly good.

It was so LOUD. There was some event going on outside my window, and there was noise and people shouting until 23:30. I shared this with the receptionist, but she was completely unimpressed. It’s unfortunate, but I chose a really bad time to stay there.

We had a fabulous overnight stopover here. The family suite was amazing - it even had an arcade games machine in the kids room, which made the kids’ holiday, and a jacuzzi bath tub. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The room was immaculate and very comfortable. The dinner and breakfast were absolutely delicious.

It was perfect.

The first impressions can dazzle - drive through the mansion gates and grounds. We didn't stay in the chateau itself, but in one of its many more modern outbuildings. We were only stopping over for one night as part of road trip and fancied a change from usual B&B hotel chain and motels. It certainly didn't disappoint in that regard. The room itself was comfortable but was more simple than you'd expect from boutique hotels and bathroom wasn't filled with expensive toiletries, but that was good enough for us and it was excellent value for money. Breakfast was great and gourmand - you won't see choco pops here! We've enjoyed the restaurant fine dining experience, being served 5 course meal - be warned though that it does not have simpler dinner options. I was a bit concerned it'd be a disaster for our hungry but picky kids who'd end up behaving like Mr Bean in French fancy restaurants with staff who struggles to speak English (I don't expect anyone to speak it though) - but the children enjoyed mashed potatoes and nicely cooked chicken fillet - better than chips and nuggets!

There was no door separation between giant bathroom and hotel room and big windows but I don't think one can see through from outside. At least toilet was enclosed separately. (it's not first time I've seen this set up in France though)

Asked to make a decision on dinner as soon as we arrived, if you’re not having dinner then you were shown to a small back room with no atmosphere where the receptionist took your order
