Lapland Hotels Hetta

The staff were all lovely, but Cecilia on the reception desk stood out as one of the loveliest people I have ever met! So helpful and friendly. The food was exceptional, particularly the salmon soup and the amazing breakfast buffet - so much choice that we were full after trying everything we wanted. It was amazing being right next to the lake and able to go straight down for a swim after the sauna.

Nothing really negative to say. It's certainly not cheap, but we got the impression that nothing is cheap in Lapland so it wasn't unreasonable at all. The en suite in the hotel room was a little on the snug side but not a big problem. It also would have been nice if the sauna was heated a bit earlier in the day, but then if it was I might have spent the entire time in there and missed out on all the great stuff we did!

We stayed in one of the apartments, across the road. The apartment was a little older than the rooms in the main building but was well appointed and with 2 bedrooms, a living room, kitchen and 1.5 bathroom, it fulfilled our needs (4 travellers). Restaurant and sauna were just across the road. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is right on the edge of the lake and we could hire cross country skis to try it out. Would stay there again.

Best restaurant in whole scandinavia (considering food quality). Restaurant personal was very considerate and did their best. The lake is a good place to see northern lights in winter.

Room was cold. Sauna and pool worked weird hours (if you stay for 1 night forget it exists). There were northern lights above the lake, but a snowmobile tour (from the hotel) desided to lit all the lights (on snowmobiles and near the hotel) and drive around the lake for a long time not letting people enjoy the view.
