Kelo Resort

- I love the beautiful location in Finlands natural surroundings. - Both ladies who worked in reception during our stay were wonderful. They did there best to make everything as pleasant as possible for us. - The food in the restaurant was delicious. - The modern architecture, the ground floor rooms, ample free parking space etc were all great.

- I don't like being in such beautiful clean air natural surroundings, and not be able to open the window and sniff that air. I hate being dependent on inside, circulated air. - This is a resort, and guests tend to stay more than 1 night, so why only 1 chair in the room? - Instead of a table or desktop, where I like to write up my travel tales, there was a useless sideboard with 2 shelves where you cannot sit. - In the common areas the light was extremely dim, quite dark actually which is not very inviting. Also a fake fireplace instead of a real one is not inviting to sit around. - Again, being a resort where people spend several days, I think coffee and tea in the lounge area should be complimentary as it is in many other hotels. Here you pay €4 for the same tea bag that is free in your room (but there only 1 person can sit). - The food was delicious but a very expensive menu. €79 per person for the menu of the day is exorbitant. There should preferably also be a bar menu with some more budget friendly choices. - Sauna was free in every other Finnish hotel where we stayed, here it was €60,- pp. - The hotel has chosen a no TV policy saying that you should enjoy nature. When we were there the sun set at 14.00 hours. With nothing to see outside, and a long dark afternoon and evening, a TV would have been very welcome.

Everything was very nice, we strongly recommend Kelo resort. Located in the middle of the nature, the resort is superb, all the staff is welcoming and friendly and the restaurant is really excellent.

The room was very comfortable, the staff was really warm and lovely, and the views were simply breathtaking – I’ve visited many places in Lapland, but nothing compares to this! Even though Kelo Resort wasn’t officially open yet, I saw the menu at Restaurant Jäkälä and it looked very promising. I can’t wait to return once it opens in November to fully enjoy the food and activities.

Even though the Resort wasnt fully open, I really couldnt find anything I didnt like. Everything felt just right
