Villa Rosa Panzano

People were great, it was clean, the house is very nice from 1905, it's very quiet, perfect for a chill vacation, to seat in the garden or by the pool. The host was very nice and she prepared the best cappuccino we had during our trip. Make sure to take a stroll in the vineyard that's above the house.

The room wasn't too big, the pillows were suboptimal, there wasn't good internet connection in the room.

The villa has impressive, classical rooms to sit and relax, eat, read. Our room with a large balcony with spectacular views of the area was really nice. We had our breakfast and drinks on the patio-terrace. What made our stay complete was the great hospitality of Isabella. She made such good breakfast, was fun to talk with... which we did a lot. We were quite emotional leaving the villa after 3 days, but mainly to leave Isabella, who felt like a close friend.

That we had to leave already after 3 days.

Beautiful villa, wonderful host, comfortable room for stay, great pool, beautiful walks through picturesque vineyards to Panzano downtown.

The description of the facilities on Booking doesn’t match the reality. The room was beautiful but basic (no minibar to cool some water, no place to hang things in the shower, no balcony and no TV). The on-site restaurant doesn’t exist, I had sent a message and had booked dinner only for them to cancel 1 day later-2 weeks before arrival- because the chef was…unavailable. They proposed a plate of cheese and salami instead and I accepted. What I was presented with was ok but certainly not worth €20. Although I was underwhelmed by all the above, I took it all with a smile and decided not to ruin my short holidays. When late in the evening the owner “realized” that the TV she tried to install in my room wouldn’t work because she hadn’t paid a license, I got frustrated. Not for the TV but for being played. She blamed Booking for the wrong description and she blamed me for not canceling earlier. It was embarrassing to watch. I just said “well, now it is too late, I cannot change hotels. Only write a negative review” . That triggered a tantrum in her, she said “who do you think you are, God? How dare you threaten me with a malicious review?”. Unfortunately the owner cannot take polite criticism nor understand that I am a paying costumer, not her guest and want to make an informed choice when booking. It was very embarrassing to see someone so convinced in their micro-world that they offer you the best and you have to be grateful! They don’t understand that people are informed travelers and can decide on their own what suits them and what not. She wanted me to leave and so I did early the morning after. Why do I write all these details? I am sure she will make a comment (indignated or sarcastic)when she reads my review (see all previous negative reviews ). So dear readers, brace yourselves if you decide to go there and dare say anything but praise!
