Sehr hochwertige, persönlichen Unterkunft mit herzlichen Gastgebern. Zimmer und Bad waren vergleichbar mit einem guten Hotelzimmer (Ausstattung sehr umfangreich und hochwertig, tadellose Sauberkeit). Kühlschrank und gratis Tee/Kaffee standen zur Verfügung. Waschmaschine und den Balkon zum grünen Innenhof konnten wir mitbenutzen. Die Gastgeber (Klaus und Paula) waren sehr herzlich und hilfsbereit, haben uns gute Hamburg Ratschläge gegeben. Die Lage im Wohnquartier ist ruhig. Über den nahegelegenen Bahnhof (oder zu Fuss) ist man in 15-20 Minuten im Stadtzentrum.
Bei unserem Zimmer mussten wir zwischen Bad und Schlafzimmer einen Schritt über den gemeinsamen Gang laufen (der Weg liess sich über einen Vorhang abgrenzen). Uns hat es nicht gestört. Wem 100% Privatsphäre wichtig ist, sollte dies bei der Buchung erwähnen (ich glaube nur 1 Zimmer ist betroffen).

Impeccably clean, fitted with all kinds of bells & whistles (dimmable bedside lights!). An owner so nice he insisted to speak English so my wife could understand him as well - and aware of the importance of power outlets. A terrace with view & access to a rich garden where you can enjoy an early coffee to start the day. Only a few yards away from a semi-pedestrian area with tons of shops and the first inner city IKEA I have ever encountered. Bakeries and coffee shops and supermarkets galore. Minutes away, the Altona station is a hub that would take you to most of the city's POIs.
Sound proofing could be better, but that is a known thing with older buildings. We are early birds, so the espresso machine must have disturbed our neighbours - sorry!
We stayed in the deluxe room, not in the apartment, so I can't speak for that, but some people might find an issue with the fact that they will share a lobby with the owner. Who, I might add, is very discreet and I don't think I saw him more than once. There is also a curtain separator for privacy. I wasn't bothered by that, but in the interest of fairness I thought it's worth mentioning.
