We had a wonderful stay at Minaret Suites and Apartments and would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, modern and brilliantly located base in Chania.
From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful. We were particularly grateful to be given early access to our apartment on arrival. After travelling, being able to get settled straight away made such a difference to the start of our holiday and was hugely appreciated.
The apartment itself was extremely modern, spotlessly clean and very well equipped. There was everything we could possibly need, including a coffee machine, kettle, fridge, safe, ironing board and iron, slippers and a vanity pack. There was also a very welcome bottle of raki waiting for us, which became part of our evening ritual sitting out on the balcony!
The attention to detail throughout our stay was excellent. Coffee was regularly replenished, along with biscuits, there were always plenty of fresh towels, and the apartment was cleaned every day. The bed was made daily and we had fresh sheets on most days too.
The shower was excellent, and the air conditioning deserves a special mention because it actually worked brilliantly — particularly important during a hot Cretan summer!
The location was perfect for us. Although Minaret is right in the heart of a busy and lively part of Chania, once the shutters were closed we experienced very little disturbance. At the same time, step outside and you are within easy walking distance of so many wonderful places, including several of our favourites — not least Stis Anna’s, where we spent more than a few evenings!
We visit Chania every year, and location, comfort and feeling at home really matter to us. Minaret Suites and Apartments delivered on all three.
Friendly staff, excellent facilities, fantastic housekeeping and a superb location. We had a brilliant stay and would very happily return.
