Jun and Aki met us when we arrived to ensure that all was in order. They were very friendly and helpful and my son was able to practice some of his Japanese. We enjoyed the extra space - the apartment is big by Japanese standards and it was very helpful to have instructions in English on all the appliances that were available to use. The massage chair was an added bonus. It was a great to have aircons in all the rooms, as it was very hot and humid when we were there.

Amazing authentic Japanese flat for a stay in Kyoto. Jun and Aki are fantastic hosts providing a wealth of information on anything you might need to know in the area. The flat is spacious, oozes Japanese style and comfort, and has all the facilities you might need, even a massage chair! The location is perfect near to the Bamboo Forest and a range of convenience stores, with easy access to the main road to inner Kyoto. The beds are great, it has 4 air-conditioning units to ensure you keep cool, and even has 3 robot vacuums as well.. Perfect for families wanting to explore the wider area from the convenience of a real home away from home.

It was a cozy apartment and really well equipped. The hosts were really nice and had written down so many useful tips about attractions, restaurants l, shops and more.
