An excellent location for exploration of the Forest of Dean

The location and on site parking were good. It was very quiet but easily accessible .The breakfast and friendly host were excellent. An open fire was lit for us on a cold evening which was nice.

It was not a problem for us but the vicarage is old and has quirky (but interesting) decoration .

Superb, will definitely go again.

Amazing building with so much character and charm. Kay was welcoming and always happy to offer advice or help when needed. Also having chalk to draw on the slate placemats was a lovely touch and a great way to start the day. Excellent location right on there doorstep of Symonds Yat and the Cycle Centre.

Kay was a fabulous host in this lovely and very unusualB&B. we had a 3 bedroom suite which had everything we could wish for from premises that were previously a vicarage. The breakfast was perfectly cooked to order. And the beautiful garden was a treasure. Cannot fault.

Host family was excellent. Breakfast was excellent. Driveway was sketchy ;)

No one in the UK cooks dinner on Monday nights! No window screens means limited fresh air. Air freshener would control the old, musty air since it is an old house as advertised.

Perfect B&B Experience

Perfect home to stay. This was the absolute best. Hosts Kay & Ian were fantastic. Suite was everything we expected & more. Quirky interior. Wish we could have extended our stay. Comfy beds. Breakfast was the best we’ve had. Walking distance to pub for dinner. Garden’s beautiful. Just the most perfect B&B. Will be back and thoroughly recommend the experience.

Everything from start to finish. Excellent place to stay. Beautiful old Vicarage full of history. Decor and furnishings kept with the theme throughout. Facilities excellent and our host was very welcoming and attentive. Highly recommend.

Very friendly hosts, breakfast was very high standard, accommodation was lovely and very relaxed atmosphere.

A great base to explore from.

Excellent location for exploring with plenty to do. Lovely breakfasts and friendly hosts. There was just the two of us so we had it all to ourselves but would have been just as good if the children had been with us. Really nice if you want somewhere quieter than a hotel.

A great find, more than your average B&B in a GradeII listed VICARGE .

The warm welcome, the amount of accommodation on offer for a B&B. The full English was cooked to perfection fit for a King, nothing was too much trouble. Great powerful shower and a deep bath. Loved the tea/coffee in the accommodation and the log burning lounge to relax in - the butterfly room. Hospitality was a 5 star service by Kay . Located on the edge of the Royal Forest of Dean, with many things to see and do within a short distant. Breath taking views close by.

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like if we had to say anything at a push, it would the Gold room deco wasn’t to our personal taste, a little too dark with the floors and furniture , preferred the light deco of the purple room . Beds were all comfy .

A gem in the Forest. Beautiful accommodation. Incredible breakfast by candle light cooked on the Aga due to power cut. Kay could not be a more welcoming host.

Superb stay

A lovely weekend break at a beautiful property. Plenty of things nearby to do. Kay and Ian made us to feel welcome in their home. Guest suite was immaculate and breakfast was yummy, we were not rushed. We will definitely be back soon...it was just perfect.
