    Perfectly situated beside ferry terminal. Rooms are very comfortable. Breakfast buffet superb. Dinner also good quality. Staff helpful and professional, good amenities (onsen and cafe)

    I am traveling with a friend (we are not couple) and booked a room with 2 beds for 2 nights on Agoda, with a reminder saying I need 2 beds. When we arrived at the hotel, they said the twin room is full and asked us to pay about 12300 yen/night for an upgrade. They were so insisted and I asked if there is any alternative, they said I can upgrade one night and move to a twin room for another night, I accepted it though I wasn’t happy about paying extra and have to move around. On the second night, when we finished the 22km hike and back at 7pm, they put us in a double room AGAIN which is really ridiculous! They asked us to pay 6600yen to change the room.?? The staff kept telling me the twin room is more expensive than the double, is that what I should care at this point? When I booked on Agoda, it says double or twin room with the same price. Understand that there is no guarantee for the room type while usually the hotels in Japan will contact the customer in advance, they should have told me earlier if they can’t fulfill my requirement. I can book somewhere much fancier with that price for sure. This hotel was the one I highly expect, but with this service and arrangement, it makes the worst stay in my entire trip. Pros - location is perfect, can walk to the pier if not driving - room is spacious - bed is comfy Cons - not super clean; the room with a balcony has flies on the pillow and insects are all around - there is no towel at the hot springs and staff didn’t remind us to bring bring our own - worst hospitality
