Railway Carriage Two - E5601

The quirkiness of the accommodation. The location and the peace and quiet. The tea, coffee, milk and homemade cake waiting for us when we arrived.

Musty damp smell. No decent toiletries like new handwash, handcream, shower gel and decent toilet paper. No toilet cleaner/bleach. Just felt we had the leftovers from previous guests.

Location was great could get to coast and countryside with ease

Not received a booking email for use of pool ,also when booking the holiday I was under the impression the pool was on site ,this was not the case . Had to ask the cleaning lady where is the pool ? Only to find it was a short drive away , which we found hard to find as plants had grown up and covered the sign , I continued onto the property thinking I could leave a request for a swim ,however the pool looked unkempt and not very inviting at all ,I was disappointed as it did not live up to the photos in the holiday advert.

A lovely location and setting. The site was well looked after and surrounding nature was very nice. The carriages have all the necessary modern facilities (and a lot warmer than I expected) and still keep the charm of the original carriages. Also the homemade cakes was very very much appreciated by all of us 😀

There isn't much we didn't enjoy! We had minor problems with the oven, kettle & extractor fan but they weren't much of an issue really, and all was resolved very quickly. Huge thanks to Judy for her help.
