Park & Pool Resort

Everything was as described in the booking, would liked to have stayed longer

The hotel is clean and quiet. We really liked the grounds. There was a free tuktuk to the train station. The bathroom has a good layout with the shower area was a bit below the rest of the bathroom to avoid getting it wet. Bed was comfortable. The AC worked well as did the fridge, though the key needs to be in a slot for the electricity to work. We loved the pool. It had a great ambiance, with trees all around, with a waterfall feature and it was big enough to swim in. There was a pool shower and towels. The location is very convenient for the train, which was great for us, although there isn't much else around (a 7-11 and ATM are a 600m walk). We only spent one night there but with such nice rooms and fantastic pool a few more nights would have been relaxing. If you need a hotel close to the train station this is perfect.

Two of us are coeliac and there was nothing gluten free at the hotel at all in the evening menu (we left before breakfast started but I got some photos of what they offered). They said they prepared all their sauces in advance. Fortunately one of the food places across from the train station 300m away was able to do fried rice after I showed my gluten free card, but it would have been happier if the hotel could do a basic stir fry with no soy sauce or omelette and steamed white rice. The cocktails were a bit too sweet but the food was the only real issue.

+ I think the best side of this hotel is definitely the Staff, They're polite, well mannered and always trying their best to be helpful. We really loved that side of the hotel. Everyone around is quite nice. ++ Triple room was also not bad, I mean there were some worn out furniture here, low water pressure there but who cares, its really cozy overall. +++ If you like peace and quiet, this is a nice place for it. JUST DON'T GO AROUND SONGKRAN. Trust me ;)

-Restaurant. Well, I don't wish to sound harsh but I just don't think its a good deal to pay 3-5 times more than outside restaurants which are just a few mins drive away or even getting your food from Grab. We wanted to eat there on the first day since we were sort of tired but as soon as we saw the prices, We just decided not to go for it, not because we were on a budget, but We live in Bangkok and even food prices in Bangkok are not that high in many areas, especially for Thai food. But let's get back to the main issue: 190-300 for Thai food and 350 Baht for a burger in the restaurant? I mean, it is just too much. This is Nong Khai, not Bangkok na :) --Internet was unbearably bad in our room so we had to use our mobile internet. ---Breakfast was just OK. I think its more suitable for Asian taste (Well, we're in Asia, D'uh!) But staff once again runs around to help you out! Kudos! On a final note, if you'd like to have a late check out, it is 100 Baht per hour :) No comments about this.
