Lovely calm environment and very scenic ☺️

Hostel.kitchen is busy

I stayed in the hostel with 5 teens who really enjoyed the experience. The beds in the hostel were quite private with a personal reading lamp and panels between the beds. The communal kitchen / sitting room is spacious and welcoming with all expected kitchen equipment. The rooms are ensuite with a very big shower room. The location is amazing. Mayo wild nature on the doorsetp. Being beside the hotel is also amazing as the facilities can be accessed. The staff were very helpful and welcoming.

We had a problem with the fan in the shower room not turning off but that was rectified by the staff offering us a different room. Otherwise not much not to like.

Excellent location, lovely walks and river beside the hostel. Have use of hotel facilities. Towels provided and free parking. On-site restaurant at the hotel but we didn't use. We used the shared kitchen to cook our meals instead. Big kitchen and communal lounge areas. Clean rooms and beds. Separate toilet and shower room within the dorm room we stayed in and two basins also contained within room, great when sharing with others and no waiting for bathroom to be free.. Privacy barrier to each bed and plug sockets, lights, shelf.

Wifi was down, so unable to use devices in the rooms. Had to go to the library/lounge at the hotel for internet access. Beds were not that comfortable and pillows too flat. No toiletries unfortunately. No labels to label food stored in fridge/freezer or cupboards in the kitchen. We had someone help themselves to our full bottle of milk, though I doubt a label would have deterred them.

Amazing location and stunning scenery.

The room was not clean, there was visible scum on the bathroom tiles and in between the mattress and the bunks. We were also kept awake until incredibly late due to being situated underneath a recreational room in which people were playing ping pong and moving around chairs until 23:30, with 3 small children this was not ideal. We ate in the restaurant and the food was fantastic but the service was poor and unfriendly.
