Good hotel for transit
We stayed at Hotel George one night on our way to Turkey. As a transit hotel, it is good, although, despite the name (family hotel), it seems rather a hotel for rent by the hour ... The position of the hotel is central. Parking is on the street, in front of the hotel, if you are lucky enough to find a free place. The room has all the basic amenities and was clean. It seems that the decorator (or, perhaps, the owner) likes mirrors, because they are overused everywhere. In the room, I even had a mirror on the ceiling! In addition, the hotel’s antique-style decor is kitschy.
Breakfast was disappointing, because in a country famous for its vegetable growers, we didn't even have a slice of tomato or cucumber on our plates, along with the delicious cheese. Vegetables and fruits were completely missing. The internet was inaccessible from the room, but very good in the hallway, a few meters away from the room. No one from the hotel staff spoke English.

Not perfect, but quirky.
I stayed overnight Sunday to Monday, so the basement bar was closed, so a quiet evening and night. The hotel is situated just off the main shopping street in the town centre. The restaurant was available for evening meals. Staff were friendly and helpful, and all understood English requests, some better than others. The freshly cooked omelette for breakfast was delicious, but the dry toast served with it cried out for some butter! The mirror on the ceiling in the bedroom was a bit quirky. I slept well apart from being woken by the toilet cistern!
The toilet cistern made random pressure noises, including during the night! The simple evening meal taken in the restaurant was not of the best quality.
