Bay View Apartments

Parking outside was restricted to 2 hours, so had to park some distance away. Was usually able to park outside for loading/unloading.

Well equipped apartment with good sized rooms, perfect for a couple. Lovely view of Port Erin Bay. We were on top floor so the lift was very useful for getting suitcases up to apartment. Very good wifi connection. Kitchen had what we needed. Not very far to a bus stop with an excellent bus service. Within walking distance of a supermarket. Bed was quite comfortable.

We were given access to a parking disc but could only park for 2 hrs on Bay View Road close to apartment. This meant moving car to outside a disc zone if we were not using car during day. A minor inconvenience.

Apartment was excellent. Comfortable, clean, tastefully furnished. Superb location and view from lounge of the sea.

Liked everything, but could have been even better if there had been soap and/ or shower gel provided in bathroom. Also if the light above the mirror in bathroom worked.

We were self catering. Thank you for the fresh milk in the fridge, it was most welcome. The apartment was most comfortable with plenty of room for the two of us. It was difficult to tear ourselves away from the views of the beach and Bradda Head.

Some items needed slight repair and/or replacement. A message was sent to the hosts. The entry phone arrangement was not working which made letting someone in awkward as there was only one set of keys.

Spacious apartment with great views. Having a freezer and washing machine added to our enjoyment of the apartment. Well planned layout with the exception of the freezer! Having a lift to access different floors was very helpful as my wife is disabled.

Freezer door being sited immediately behind main door into living area was inconvenient at times. The strange smell in the lift and passageway.

Great location. The apartment was spacious, clean and airy and had very good facilities. The bed was comfy and there was a proper bath.

We love this apartment. It’s in a great location with views of the beach and bay, it’s clean, comfortable and has everything we need for a perfect stay. The supermarket is a couple of minutes walk away.

The location is wonderful with views over the bay. Also having a lift in the building makes this an excellent option for those of us with mobility issues. The apartment is spacious, clean,light and airy, well appointed and has all the essentials for self catering.

The view of the bay from the apartment was stunning. The apartment was very comfortable and had everything we needed for a 10 day stay. It has a very convenient location on the Promenade close to shops, pubs and restaurants.

It was a lovely apartment and in beautiful location. Lovely view, Parking was easy and free on the promenade to front ( disc parking available next to the property to the side) supermarket almost next door, perfect.

Fabulous location. Very clean, well equipped property.

TV didn’t work, but we didn’t ask for any help with this. There are no functional blinds on the windows in the kitchen/dining area, which felt quite exposed when dark as on the front of the property.

The apartments location is excellent and the views are wonderful. Port Erin itself was clean, quiet and the beach is lovely. We specifically went to the Isle of Man to view the Archibald Knox exhibition; and also visit the Islands historical sites. Port Erin proved to be an excellent base from which to do this. Roads are very good.

We expected better from the apartment after booking it after reading the reviews on booking.com. When we arrived the bathroom fan wasn't working and the bathroom sink smelt and was very slow draining. We reported this when we arrived and hopefully it will be sorted before the next visitors, but not pleasant in the bathroom during our stay. Surely such problems should be picked up and rectified by regular inspection or the cleaning staff. On my knees retrieving a dropped earring butterfly you could tell from the amount of dust under the settee that it had not been vacuumed for a long while. Even though there is a dishwasher I had to wash up regular because of the woefully inadequate amount of cutlery and crockery ( e.g 2 spoons,3 knives, 4 plates). If you are going to stay here take everything if your planning on doing any cooking. The Roman blinds in the table area have just been sewn up so you cannot let them down which meant that because it was hot and sunny whilst we were there it was unpleasant sitting at the table eating in the evening. There are no recycling facilities which we found strange in a place where the environment is one of its biggest assets.

Location, spotlessly clean, quiet, great response from host when I contacted them with a question. The apartment is close to the beach, shops and bus station. We had planned to hire a car but didnt need to as the buses and train where so efficient. Also great walking in the surroundings. Very friendly and safe place . We could not have been more pleased with Port Erin. We even got lucky with the weather.

Not a deal breaker and we would stay at Bay View again but there was very little crockery, only two of everything. It would have been nice to have a few more mugs and cooking utensils. Also radiator in bedroom not working but the host replied quickly and was arranging to have it bled.

The views were lovely. Close to the beach. Clean throughout.

If Im being picky I would say an airer would be lovely to dry towels and clothing. There is a tumble dryer but it would be nice to have an airer or towel rail.

The apartment was in a fab location. It was spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable

The shower didn’t get very warm. The water was tepid despite being on hottest setting. Could be due to fact that apartment was on top floor. Other than that, no complaints

The property was clean , spacious , well equipped too .The view was lovely as well , spent time watching the dusk fall the day break .very relaxing .(oh) the lift right up to the apartment door )

Just the one thing was the radiator in the bedroom , requires ‘bleeding’ , other than that faultless .

Very nice apartment with a great view. Port Erin is a quiet coastal village, which suits us, and as the island is small you can be in the capital in half an hour.

We (booked by my partner Andy) loved the location of the property more than anything else. The view of Port Erin from all angles of the property is breathtaking but also it was easy to get to Douglas, Ramsey.. All over actually was easy by car and as accessible by public transportation. Able to go into the action and come back to this peace. Everything is in reach. The supermarket is a 3 minutes walk if that, restaurants, 5 minutes,, the beach 3 minutes including the stairs, Steam train station 5 minutes. Brilliant location. Also the apartment itself was clean, and comfortable. It had everything we needed to make meals and chill out after a day of adventure.

We received directions to the property, but spent a while locating it as the directions said red door and that was incorrect. It was only by chance we got out and walked and saw boxes with codes and took a chance and were correct. Also as we had a car, there was supposed to be a parking disc left which wasn't and we're advised to collect on ourselves but what made it more difficult was there were no details or instructions as to what the disc would be for and why we needed it. It was only thanks to someone in the Laxey tourist office that explained to us. But otherwise side issues.. The property itself was lovely.
