Great for a short break

Have stayed at least 5 times out of season (staycation ) . Has everything you need if self catering . We just use for accommodation purposes and eat and drink out . Near bus stop / pubs / beach and pleasant walks . Easy check in

Comfortable and cosy with lovely views of Port Erin

Dave was easy to keep in contact with and came out a Sunday evening to fix the washing machine. The apartment we had was 2 bedrooms and a sitting room. Very comfortable and well equipped kitchen with a full cooker and microwave. Easy to cook our meals. A Tescos supermarket around the corner and easy walk to the shops and local eateries. Beds were very comfortable. Nice linen and towels. Good shower. We enjoyed our stay there.

Nice location on the seafront with sea views, large bedrooms and a kitchen. There is a coin electric meter, it had plenty of credit and we used only a few pounds of it so did not need to top it up.

We only met the owner once to get the key from him, he was pleasant and helpful .

The flat was clean except for the couch , when the cushions were lifted there were crumbs and bits of toast plus it was dirty upholstery, apart from that the rest was clean.

We were in flat 5 at the top of so many stairs, that was a nightmare, the windows didn’t shut properly and we’re locked so you couldn’t shut them yourself as there wasn’t a key to them, and as far as we know there wasn’t a means of escape in an emergency.

Pleasant but not for us

It had everything we needed as it was booked last minute due to a boat cancellation. Is a very beautiful building in side and out and they have a notice board in the lobby for food and attractions.

The bed was hard and in the corner of the room was dust and cobwebs, the living room wasn’t very big but we were out most of the day so it didn’t both us. And management knocked on our door at 9.30pm as the washer was on and we where told there was a strict no noise policy after 9pm but there where no signs in the room or the lobby to indicate this

Wonderful view from the Sea View room. Facilties were sufficient. Nice to have a washing machine as well.

The hot water in the kitchen and hand basin in the bathroon was dangerously hot!

Would use again to stay in Port Erin

Lovely place. Everything as stated & Clean. Big bedroom in 4. This is the third time we have stayed here so highly recommended. We booked room 6 and 4 as had family with us and they said they loved the place too.

We stayed in room 4 this time with our grandson. Although sleeps 4 there only 3 chairs to watch TV and that room a bit small. However only 3 of us so didn't matter too much.

The view was excellent and location superb.

It was at the top of the building..over 50 steps to climb of a stairs ....establishment was not done up or modernised for years but it was very clean ...the bed was very uncomfortable ....your bedroom was also your living room ......very bad value for money

The Captians Table - The best stop over in Port Erin

Being upgraded from a small sea view apartment to the best one ever. Large first floor apartment with a huge bay window overlooking the sea. Apartment containing everything required … a home from home. Nothing to fault it. Would certainly recommend it and hope to return to 😉 Train station and bus station a short walk away. Port Erin’s a lovely town to visit and explore.

Not so much of a dislike … but the first time we’ve encountered a set up where electricity usage needs to be paid for. The electricity meter was in credit for £5.00 per day (a total of £20.00 for us, as we were booked for four nights). We didn’t exceed the total credit allocated to the apartment during are stay and thus no need to top up the meter. Just the first time we’ve encountered this whilst staying in booked up accommodation. No worries 😉

Beautiful location

Fantastic location overlooking bay. Although the furnishings were basic, they were more than adequate for my needs. Instructions were clear and helpful.

Two minor issues: - the heating etc was on a meter (winter months) and although this had been more than adequately primed, I was uncertain about this on the first day of my visit - the parking is on the ”street"/promenade in front of the apartment, and although I had no trouble parking, I was out of season

Very handy for the beach. Close to the supermarket and other shops. On a bus route, and is also handy for the trains station. .

Disappointing

Fairly central location, close to the beach. Shower and appliances worked well. Bedrooms were a good size. A small amount of complimentary tea, coffee and sugar was provided

Windows all looked out onto walls, a few feet away. The lounge was tiny and the sofa upholstery was crusted with what I assume was hair grease. A very no-frills feel to the apartment as a whole (only two loo rolls provided, one tea towel, no basic supplies such as laundry detergent, cooking oil or salt).

It could have been cleaner, 2 of the saucepans were unusable as they were really stained inside on the base, the cutlery tray was full of crumbs and the grill pan and rack were greasy.Carpet in room 3 very stained.
