Ilingas Hotel

really efficient, close-by option both to Glyka Nera beach, if you want to hike (also to Hora Sfakion to opposite direction), and their own small lagoon / Ilingas beach too.

all facilities are pretty bacics, not to expect anything fancy here - sometimes with problems of hot water in the shower

The location was superb, quaint and unspoilt, peaceful and close to the (shingle) beach. The dinner was also very good indeed. I enjoyed chatting with the owner/manager who was quite a character and also the lady who did most of the serving who was lovely. I only rented a room in the taberna for a single night but it looked like there were also some very nice rooms/apartments in the hotel which would be a superb place to relax and unwind for a few days.

My room in the taberna had 3 single beds while I only needed one, so as a result the room was a little cramped. However this was a minor inconvenience, if it had been a problem I would have mentioned it at the time and I'm sure it would have been dealt with.

Locatie was fantastisch aan de baai, strand had lekkere bedjes en een bar. Na de overstroming zijn ze nog hard aan het werk om alles weer op te bouwen.

Badkamer is wel heel ouderwets grieks

Accès à la plage privé avec transat gratuit pour ceux de l’hôtel. Place de parking à disposition. Personnel très accueillant et serviable. Persiennes présente ce qui rendait la chambre dans le noir obscur pratique pour les grasse matinée !

La douche était dans les toilettes ce qui n’était pas très adapté. Lorsqu’on prenait notre douche toute la salle de bain était alors inondé. Les lits grinçaient beaucoup dès le moindre mouvement. La chambre était situé au dessus des cuisines du restaurant donc l’odeur était fortement présente lorsque nous ouvrions la chambre. La chambre manquait d’insonorisation.
