Exceptional hosts. Comfortable and good sized room. Quiet location with beautiful views over the garden. Delicious breakfasts. Close to lovely hill walks and delightful towns.

Pretty garden and bed comfortable! Good breakfast too, although if you don't want to chat to strangers, make sure there's 6 people in your party (or book a slot when other guests might be gone... this is not necessarily possible)!

Supposedly 'dog friendly' (there's a £10 fee per dog), but the female owner (a married couple running a B&B) was visibly judgemental when I gave my dogs the fat off my bacon. And, she said, "Don't let them on the bed or furniture," etc. I think they're tolerant, not friendly! We had lumpy pillows and could hear the traffic noise from our room (which had a tiny en suite shower room that was fine, but not for large people and the loo was behind the door). Ok, for a night or 2! Lastly, the male owner seemed to think it was acceptable to use a loud, electric hedge trimmer and then a sit-on lawn mower whilst we tried to enjoy the garden on a Saturday evening pre dinner (out)! This was inconsiderate (we were 4 of only 6 guests residing)! I would imagine that they'd have fewer guests (and not in the garden 'enjoying' some evening sunshine) on a Sunday or Monday?!
