Wonderful and will come again

Very welcoming and peaceful and great breakfast. Super friendly cats and dogs. We were given a glass of wine made from their vineyard which was a nice touch. A little treasure of a place

A wonderful old farmhouse surrounded by woods. Antonella and her son Leo are the kindest hosts I have ever met. The apartment is spacious, comfortable, adequate and very authentic. The beds are comfortable, the towels are nice, the linens are impeccable. The kitchen is well equipped and can be used even for simple everyday cooking. About 20 minutes from Lucca, half an hour from the beach. The pool is wonderful, a great place to relax after a tiring day. We especially loved the dogs and cats - especially the cats. :) And of course the donkey. We always knew when it was dinner time, he would loudly warn us. The sentence, though, that I took with me: Sometimes the soul needs this kind of rest. - thank you Leo. It really is. Thank you for everything, I hope to see you again. Special thanks for the limoncello, the wine and the grappa, both were fabulous.

Mosquito nets on the windows would be a great help against bugs, and air conditioning, ohh that would be very good. We never managed to connect to the wifi, or if we did, it was only for a few minutes and the internet strength was also very unstable. This - if possible - would be good to change. We tried to solve it with a hotspot, it didn't always work, we worked hard for the few emails we sent, which we had to send anyway because of our work - vacation here or there. If this doesn't cause a problem for someone, then you won't be able to find many excuses.

Exceptional stay!

We had such a lovely stay here! Antonella was an exceptional host, and she and her son Leonardo were very helpful with tips for things to do. The apartment was perfect - very comfortable bed, cooking facilities, and a wonderful terrace which caught the sun almost all day (perfect for a glass of wine or dinner in the evening!). The setting was just idyllic - could see the vines from our bedroom window :) Location was great - easy drive to Lucca, close enough to the coast to drive there and spend the day, and about an hour's drive to get to Pisa Airport. Would come back in an instant!

The perfect base for relaxing with the family and enjoying the many delights of Tuscany

Situated at the foot of Tuscan mountains and run by the most welcoming family imaginable, you would struggle to find a more genuine and rustic Italian experience. The family live in a house on their working farm, which produces olives, vine fruit, honey and more. They've renovated some attached buildings to create a couple of self-contained family holiday apartments and the whole place looks amazing. The one we stayed in was packed with traditional features, had loads of space and a pool in the incredible gardens, which was much appreciated in the 30+ degrees heat. The kids loved the many animals who also lived there including several cats, a dog and some donkey. Antonella could not have been a better or more friendly host. Nothing is any trouble at all and she also provides a delicious and filling buffet breakfast every morning. There's something for everyone, even the vegans. Her husband and son were also very welcoming and never failed to look up from their work to wave and say hi. The quiet location is perfect for getting away from a busy life although you definitely need a car to get around. It's in a mountainous region close to the walled city of Lucca, the coast with its endless beaches and major cultural hubs such as Florence. If you need any local information or tips, Antonella is more than happy to help and gave us several recommendations that were far better than what we had planned. And I promise to practice my Italian more on Duolingo before the next visit :)

Amazing place to stay

Great accommodation, beautiful apartment, with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Very clean and wonderful beds. The area is beautiful and very peaceful. Antonella is the perfect hostess. She had lots of tips for us for nice restaurants and activities. The breakfast is good, fresh eggs every morning, fruit, cake, bread with toppings, yogurt, etc. And delicious cappuccino. Overall, highly recommended and I'll definitely be back.

Great stay, in a lovely place

Our apartment was great, with lovely cozy farm style decor. We had a separate room for our kids in addition to a charming balcony and a kitchen. The host was really nice and waited for us when we checked in late at night. There are several cute animal that you can pet: a dog, a cat and 2 donkeys.

A bit small bathroom - but it's not an issue

Great spot in the hills near Lucca

Very spacious (two floors in the appartment) and very quiet. Extremely helpful hostess, who also made a reservation for us at the restaurant uphill (3 km or so). Which would not have been necessary if we would have brought supplies: there is a fully equipped kitchen in the appartment. Old family property, converted to receive guests. Nicely set against a steep hill.

Superb

We enjoyed our visit to A Casa Del Tosi. The facility is family owned for over a generation. The hospitality was great. Antonella provided great restaurant recommendations and helped book reservations for us. Breakfast was nice. We had a great conversation with her son, Leonardo about travel in Italy. We enjoyed our stay in the country rather than centrally in a highly touristy area. Our children enjoyed seeing the cats/dog/chickens/donkeys on site. They also appreciated the pool after a long day of sightseeing. We were able to visit Pisa and the walled city of Lucca during the stay.

Tranquilo near Lucca at the mountain side

The house is very beautiful and very big with kitchenette. Peacefull and quiet area 20 minutes north of Lucca. Our son really liked Pluto the dog, the 5 cats and the donkeys (in the forest). We're lucky that it was time to harvest the grapes and we saw the whole process! We also tasted the wine which was very delicious and bought some bottles for home! Thank you so much for your hospitality and the good tips to do in the surrounding area.

We enjoyed everything. So warm welcome. Only the pool was a bit chilly (end of september).

Etablissement reposant et entouré de verdure et de bois. Acceuil très sympathique et convivial.

Le lieu atypique, dans une ancienne ferme réhabillitée, en retrait de l'espace urbain. La vie à la campagne avec ses animaux et son environnement calme. Les informations transmises pour visiter différents sites aux alentours. Le caractère ancien de l'établissement avec ses portes et fenêtres d'époque. L'acceuil de la propriétaire très gentille avec laquelle nous avons pû echanger et discuter en approfondissant notre Italien. A voir l'ermitage di Calomini et le village de Barga ainsi que la ville de Lucca

Le manque d'indication du lieu l'acceuil, car nous sommes arrivés sous une pluie battante, ne sachat où nous adresser. Nous n'avons pas pû profiter des équipements car le temps ne si prétait pas.

Un lieu rempli rempli d'amour

A casa del Tosi est un lieu rempli d'amour et de bienveillance, Antonella et son mari sont adorables et nous ont très bien accueillis. Nous avons loué la maison du bas où nous étions 2 couples et chaque chambre avait sa salle de bain. Le petit déjeuner est très copieux et Antonella adapte bien le repas pour les personnes ayant des intolérances alimentaires. Tous les jours nous avons droit aux câlins des chats et chiens qui sont très gentils. La piscine est nettoyée tous les jours et il y a assez de transat pour tout le monde. Merci encore à Antonella pour son accueil et sa gentillesse. Je recommande vivement.

Il n'y a rien de négatif mais s'il faut chercher la petite bête je dirais que le petit chemin pour accéder à la location est un peu escarpée et le parking rocailleux. Il est vrai que les chiens se baladent partout dans le jardin et il est arrivé qu'ils nous laissent parfois des "surprises" sur la pelouse 😅

Veľmi pekné štýlové ubytovanie s dobovým zariadením, vhodné na relax od rušného sveta civilizácie. Raňajky výborné s domácou čerstvou zeleninou a ovocím v krásnej štýlovej jedálničke s príjemnou obsluhou pani majiteľky a za milej prítomnosti domácich zvierat - dvoch psíkov a mačiek

Možno by stálo za uváženie v meniacich sa klimatických podmienkach inštalovať do ubytovacej časti penziónu klimatizáciu. V podkrovnej spálni bolo neúnosné teplo, ktoré nás nakoniec prinútilo ukončiť pobyt o deň skôr.

Ein sehr alter aber liebevoll eingerichteter Bauernhof.

Sehr einfach aber gemütlich. Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Außenbereich, die Wohnung über zwei Etagen und die Vermieterin war sehr sehr nett. Man hatte das Gefühl zur Familie zu gehören.

Wir hätten uns Insektenschutz vor den Fenstern gewünscht. Die überschwenglichen Bewertungen bezüglich des Frühstücks (reichhaltig und abwechslungsreich) sind für uns nicht nachvollziehbar und wurde anders empfunden.

Fantastische rustige Toscaanse ervaring bij een zeer gastvrije familie met heerlijk ontbijt.

Rustige locatie in de heuvels op korte rijafstand van de prachtige stad Lucca. Er werden veel tips gegeven o.a. voor gratis parkeren. Heerlijk ontbijt met zelfgebakken taart en brood, vers fruit eieren, ham. Zeer vriendelijk en professioneel. Hun 2 honden zijn ook schattig. Heerlijk zwembad met ligstoelen. Maar ook een eigen zitje voor de deur waar je zelf bereide maaltijden kunt nuttigen. Een echte Toscaanse ervaring.

Het bed kan iets harder maar dat is persoonlijk.

Oasi di tranquillità nella natura a due passi da Lucca e Pisa

Splendido monolocale arredato con cura in un casale tipico in pietra circondato dalla natura. Anche in estate ambiente fresco e riposante. Posizione perfetta, molto tranquilla e comunque comoda x visitare Pisa, Lucca e la Garfagnana. Piscina da sogno immersa nel verde e nel profumo delle rose. Colazione con prodotti locali di qualità eccellente (in parte di produzione della stessa azienda agricola). Proprietari molto gentili e disponibili.

Wohlfühlatmosphäre und engagierte Gastgeberin Antonella

Das Frühstück war sehr gut. Es war alles dabei, was ein Agriturismo hergibt. Vielfältig. Hervorragend selbst gebackene Kuchen. selbst gemachtes Joghurt, verschiedene Wurstsorten, Käse, Fruchtsaft, Obst, etc. Besonders erwähnenswert ist die Gastfreundschaft von Antonella und ihre Empfehlungen für Ausflüge, die sie uns gegeben hat (Peccioli, Pietrasanta, Garfagnana mit Barga (!), Lucca mit Rundgang auf der Mauer, etc.). Durch die etwas abgelegene Lage findet man zur Ruhe. Die Stimmung ist gut - auch alle Haustiere fühlen sich dort wohl (es gab vier Katzen und zwei Hunde, die zu regelmäßigen Begleitern wurden). Die Unterkunft ist geräumig und eine Küchenzeile ist praktisch für die ergänzende Selbstversorgung. Besonders erwähnenswert war die große Terrasse mit wunderbarer Aussicht auf den Garten und die bewundernswerten alten und großen Bäume.

TV-Gerät sehr klein, hat auch nicht funktioniert (Signal war zu schwach). WLAN hatte immer wieder Aussetzer. Film streamen am Abend nach einem langen und bereichernden Ausflug war nicht möglich. Für Besucher:innen, die ihre Kommunikation aufrechterhalten wollen/müssen, braucht es künftig ein stärkeres WLAN. Man kann es natürlich auch anders sehen und dankbar sein für das "Digital Detox". So gelingt auch das Abschalten noch besser :-)

Fantastisch!

We hebben een erg fijn verblijf gehad in A Casa Del Tosi! Antonella is een enorm aardige gastvrouw die het verblijf extra aangenaam voor ons heeft gemaakt. Elke dag stond er een lekker ontbijt voor ons klaar en ze deed ons aanbevelingen voor leuke activiteiten en stadjes in de buurt. De accommodatie heeft lekkere bedden en een prima keukentje.

Het huis is binnen redelijk donker, dus probeer zoveel mogelijk buiten naar de leuke stadjes te gaan!
