Budhi Ayu Villas and Cottages Ubud by Mahaputra

Beautiful pool, great breakfast and clean rooms, very comfortable beds.

Lovely setting with calm, peaceful atmosphere. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were very clean and comfortable.

Location was a little far out from main ubud but taxis on the ‘Grab’ app were plentiful and cheap.

We had a very enjoyable stay. Our room was extremely comfortable and spacious, with a cozy sitting area featuring a sofa. We also liked having a small kitchenette on the terrace. It was a bit unusual that it had a stovetop but no plates, but this didn't affect our stay. The bathroom was also large and comfortable. We had dinner at the hotel's restaurant, and the food was delicious. Just a few minutes' walk from the hotel, there was a local laundry service where we could have our clothes washed for a very reasonable price, which was very convenient during our trip.

We only had breakfast once, as we usually left early for our day trips. Unfortunately, breakfast service was very slow because it was à la carte rather than a buffet. It took about 1.5 hours from start to finish, with long waits between courses. Even the hot dishes, such as the scrambled eggs, arrived cold. This was the only disappointing part of our stay.

Wow, this place is magical. Budhi means strong and Ayu means beautiful. This is indeed a strong, beautiful villa. I cannot wait to be back. The food is perfect, the staff are helpful and go above and beyond to make your stay the best they possibly can.

If I had to nitpick, the walls in the hallways need a fresh coat of paint.
