Nice family owned hotel close to the beach

👍🏻 Hotel located close to beach 👍🏻 Parking included 👍🏻 Very friendly and helpful staff 👍🏻 Room was in good condition and cleaned daily 👍🏻 Several grocery stores nearby and walking distance to downtown Rethymno 🤷🏻 Breakfast was OK, but a bit basic 🤷🏻 The seaview was obstructed by a construction site

- The shower in the bathroom tended to overflow - The window in the bathroom wasn't covered by a mosquito net so insects would come in when the window was open (which was necessary due to the moist) - Not the hotel's fault of course, but the nearest access point to the beach smelled due to a nearby sewage system of some kind

We didn’t have an iron in the apartment at first. However, we asked at reception and Despina kindly gave us the iron by the end of our holiday.

A very enjoyable stay.

Excellent apartment, great staff, very friendly. Pool was amazing. Location was good and as we expected. Parking easy right outside. Some nice restaurants within walking distance. Overall a very good stay and value for money.

The balcony overlooked a building site and was noisy with banging early in the morning (I believe it is related to the hotel and we were told work would not start until November). It also received no sun due to its position. Air conditioning was so noisy it was not really useable, although wasn’t too hot at night with it being October. These things did not spoil our stay though.

Our ground floor apartment was spacious, clean, with a big terrace, jacuzzi, and a beautiful garden full of lovely plants. The owner was kind and everything was well maintained.

Basement apartments with hot tubs were a bit noisy when people were showering and flushing the toilets. Sounded like it was a rain storm above the ceiling. BUT, well worth the money.

When I book ( appartement with 1 double and 1 twin bed) at arrival they give me double bed and single sofa bed really small. Not adult size. Finally they offer me and extra room at not aditional cost Nice gesture ! Would be nice to have toiletries ( shampoo). Not only ansmall soap

Mixed feelings as the room was clean and the personeel was kind,.water in the pool was refreshing and the beach was just 5 minutes away.Big plus was .the A/C that was not charged separately as we found in another accommodation on the island.

Excellent location, few steps to the beach. Apartment was renovated and upgraded with new furniture, comfortable beds, very clean. Pool is beautiful and very clean , free parking . Definitely recommend this place.

Nice friendly apartments, well equipped, and pretty cheap for the area

Nice comfortable 2 bedroom apartment with nice balcony and seats on both sides of the apartment, so also in very warm days the possibility to seek some shade, great beds, nice pool, and on walking distance to a few very good restaurants. Just outside the busy area of Rethymnon which was pleasant.

We had breakfast for one day, it was fine, fresh and sufficient, however our expectations were a bit higher because at other locations breakfasts had been magnificent.

Very enjoyable stay, with friendly hotel team

All was very good. Large room/suite completely renovated, with everything needed. Staff was very friendly and most helpful. A bit far from the centre, but a good enjoyable 50mn walk along the beachside. Nice. All was needed at the breakfast buffet. Nothing to be said, all very good.

Great relaxed stay close to the beach!

Great family hotel. We stayed there with our three kids (14,12,8) and therefore had an appartement with two bedrooms. The beds were very good. Airco is present. The rooms were a good size and the living area was bigger than expected. The kitchen is handy and has al the basics to cook (fridge as well). The bathroom was very nice with a great modern shower. We heard that the hotel dit renovate it not to long ago. We also had a good size balcony with a view to the pool. The people who work there are very friendly. Everything was very clean and well kept. We got fresh towels every day and the cleaning ladie's made our beds every day. The sea is just a very short walk away (across the street) ans rhetymno can be reached easily by bus or taxi.

Exceptional

Stayed here with family with injured feet. Kostas was very helpfull, taking care of all his guests (excactly, staying here you feeling like a guest, not client) and gave me the best apartment he had without any extra cost in order to have the best possible leisure time at Missiria. Overall stuff is very pleasant. All rooms, area around the pool is very clean. Pool is open 08:00-22:00 and clean, big enough, not overcrowded. Pool is surrounded by trees and flowers and even at the hottest day Missiria is full of shadows where you can sit and read or scroll your tablet in the fresh air. Beach is few hundred meters away only. Bar is working up to 24:00 with some nice cocktails and snacks. Kids loved Greek type 🍕. Rooms are quiet , no noise from a street, all guests are families mostly. There are few quiet good Tavernas in 300-800 meters away from Missiria. Before trip Kostas organized rental car with reasonable costs. There is possibility to order breakfast as well or you may cook in you apartments. So far the best stay in Crete.

Sparkling clean, modern apartment with view of pool and beyond, to the sea. Beautiful gardens. Plenty of loungers around the pool,so always able to find somewhere to relax. Handy snack bar. Quiet location but within easy walk of restaurants etc. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

Amazing - one to come back to again

The gardens at the apartment are amazing and relaxing with a variety of plants filled with beautiful flowers and scents the grandchildren had a fantastic time in the pool which was well maintained the view from our apartment was amazing and the apartment was very big and comfortable and cleaned every day The staff were very polite and spoke very good English they couldn’t be more helpful

The bathroom could do with updating chip in the bath - a toaster would be good but these are little things that didn’t spoil our stay

It was a great family vacation. The owners are very friendly and always ready to help. The room was spacious, kids enjoyed the pool very much. The wifi transmission rate was good enough to do some calls for work. It is a nice location, just 2 minutes walk from the beach and groceries stores are close by. Rethymno promenade with a galore of restaurants is in 10-15 minutes walk and the area has plenty of offices providing car rental services.

There's no restaurant for a proper meal, just breakfast and bar snacks. It would be great if either some rooms or the property had a work place.

I would stay there longer.

For me it was just right: near to the beach, near to highway, and far from crowds. Swimming pool for me and for kids, bar in the evenings serves local beer. Very kind hosts.

Lovely 11 nights in the Sun.

Pool to ourselves. The cleansiness was spot on. Especially with Covid about.

In these strange times we virtually had the run of the whole resort to ourselves. Great resort and facilities. Staff were attentive. Mainly kept company by local cats. Would like to have seen resort in normal times. But they maintained a staffing and facility level regardless of the numbers.
