Wonderful location, very friendly staff, excellent breakfast

I liked the cleanliness everywhere, as well as the Roman Baths. The breakfasts were good, too, even though the coffee wasn't great.

I wasn't happy with the restaurant staff; 80% of them are Ukrainian and don't speak Czech very well. This leads to misunderstandings. Dinner—the appetizers and soup were good, but the rest was a big disappointment (overcooked, tasteless, and unimaginative, as if meant for people with gallbladder problems). The hotel claims to be a 5-star hotel, but dinner is served until 8:30 p.m., and by 8:15 p.m. the piano is already playing. As soon as guests leave, the staff starts setting the tables for breakfast—this is really very disruptive and inappropriate—we didn’t understand that. The hotel disappointed me; it was my birthday the day after I arrived—the front desk wasn’t able to check the system and at least put a card with a greeting on the table. Simply an old-fashioned hotel that has seen better days.

The location was great , the outside of building and grounds pretty the concierge is fantastic and really knows the city he takes the time to help go over any tours or day trips that you would be interested in. The two girls at front desk are helpful and Filip is very good as well at assisting you in any of your needs.

The hotel might have been five stars years ago but certainly isn't now...except the qualities noted above. This hotel was very disappointing especially for cost & length of stay. They do nothing to go above and beyond to make it a luxury stay. Not even a bottle of water in the room, or any nice personal touches that most five star hotels do. Not even an offer to assist with luggage check in or out. Walking around hotel staff doesn't even acknowledge you - in fact they seem more annoyed your there . The marketing for the spa - an inspection needs done! The loungers are all plastic with rips in the white plastic under the red light section , tiles broken on floor, spa dirty and very dated . The ceiling top is so gross and dirty, Rooms are very dated with chips all over the furniture, hard towels and robes nothing a five star hotel should offer . Like other reviews, the spa attendants are beyond rude If you ask them the slightest question they are bothered . Didn't even show you the spa or where anything was, another guest did and had the exact same complaints as I did . I ended up doing spa treatments at 3 other facilities during my stay And got better treatment than this hotel and spa. The facilities were so much nicer and cheaper as well. This hotel seems to be run on a long standing of years thinking there the best and forgotten there guests in the process. Beautiful historical building and good location that needs to put back in the luxury and value it's guests deserve.
