Highly recommended

Lovely traditional house, in a beautiful village, very well kept and beautifully designed. The room was spacious, comfortable and very clean. Our host was extremely kind, and went out of his way to make us feel welcomed.

It was the end of the season, so everything in the village was closed. We had to drive for almost 20 minutes to the only open restaurant in the area, which was very good, but still quite far. Driving in the village and getting into the parking area was a bit tricky.

Such a lovely place, owned by such a lovely person

This is one of the most lovely places I've ever been to. The house, the room, the terrace, the garden... The hosts take care of all of it and make it a very special place. The breakfast was extraordinary and the owner is such a lovely person. We got tea and cake on arrival and something delicious to try every now and then and we were always asked whether we needed anything. I hope to return to this special place some day.

Best stay ever!

We had never stayed in a place that really felt like home, until our stay at Kato Machalas. The owners are very nice, accomodating and helpful, and really go the extra mile for making their guests feel comfortable. They prepare the best breakfast ever, are ready with suggestions for trips in the area, and they keep the rooms super clean. There is access to a common kitchen and a beautiful terrasse with nice views. Moreover, the hotel is located in a quiet and picturesque village away from the buzz of the area. The restaurant of the village offers tasty food at very reasonable prices. Everything was better than perfect - we would love to come back!

Cosy, friendly and great breakfast

Like being hosted by a family member! Everything was really nice, including the fulfilling breakfast of Mrs Dimitra (alevropita was majestic) and Mr Dimitris's (aka Takis!) tips for daily trips to the surrounding area. Very kind people, really hospitable and a very traditional, warm and cosy environment. Definitely value for money and keep in mind that the room was actually nicer than the pictures!

Ο Δημήτρης και η Δήμητρα μας υποδέχτηκαν σα να είμαστε στο σπίτι τους. Εξαιρετικοί οικοδεσπότες με νοιαξιμο και ουσιαστική αίσθηση φιλοξενίας. Πλούσιο σπιτικό πρωινό και καθαριότητα 5*. Το χωριό πανέμορφο και ήσυχο, σε πολύ ωραίο σημείο του Ζαγορίου. Ευχαριστούμε πολύ!

Η τοποθεσία είναι μαγευτική, σπίτια πετρόκτιστα μέσα στο πράσινο. Το κατάλυμα πεντακάθαρο. Το πρωινό πλούσιο όπως και η καρδιά των ιδιοκτητών. Σε αυτό το κατάλυμα νιώθεις ότι σε φιλοξενεί οικογένεια, όχι επιχείρηση...

Μια εμπειρία γεμάτη ζεστασιά! Η κα Δήμητρα και ο κος Δημήτρης μας υποδέχτηκαν σαν να ήμασταν στο σπίτι των γονιών μας, με ανοιχτές καρδιές και αγκαλιές. Η φιλοξενία τους είναι αληθινή, αυθεντική, και έκανε τη διαμονή να μοιάζει περισσότερο με οικογενειακή συνάντηση παρά με απλό ταξίδι. Ένα μέρος που δεν προσφέρει μόνο ξεκούραση, αλλά και ανθρώπινη επαφή που σπανίζει.

Ein äußerst gastfreundlicher und freundlich-herzlicher Gastgeber! Obwohl wir kein Wort Griechisch sprechen, hat die Kommunikation wunderbar geklappt. Das Frühstück war hervorragend! Die Unterkunft sehr ruhig und idyllisch.
