Agriturismo Reggia Saracena

This little hotel is very special and beautiful. It like a little Sicily resort outside of Agrigento.

Little hard to find. It is located on a bend.

The host was wonderful and his meals, ate there 2 nights, were a culinary extravaganza! Rooms need some refresh but it was nice to not be in a big city for 2 days.

Giuseppe was a very friendly welcoming host.The children were thrilled by the garden and swimming pool.They also loved the domestic animals:cats,kittens and a dog. The house and garden is eclectic collection full of atmosphere. The view is nice,to get places one needs a car. Delightful sweet breakfast buffet every morning. We enjoyed Giuseppe’s dinner during one evening of our stay, he cooked delicious meal of full menu! Great location for Vallei dei Templi and Scala de Turchi.

Good location to access the surrounding by car, good food

1. The initial double room we occupied was quite wet and even moldy. We changed to upstairs and it’s better. 2. We had the bad surprise to pay unexpected fees at the end. We asked for a laundry during our stay and ended up paying 15 EUR and the owner never told us the price before. Same thing when we asked for charging our car, they said ok never told a price and we paid a fee at the end. In the restaurant it was a fixed price menu but the drinks were extra and there was no price listed anywhere, and they charged us for "coperta" in addition. The owner proposed a digestive at the end and we assumed it was free as it is usually the case but it was not. If we had known the price we would probably have still used the service (or maybe not), but the owner did not tell us about the fees at all.
