António was a fantastic, warm, and extremely welcoming host! He truly made our stay special. You could tell that he genuinely cared that his guests were having a good stay and that their needs were being met. The property is located in the peaceful, small town of Gaula, which we loved and found much more quaint, authentic, and local than Funchal. We’re extremely glad that we stayed here instead of Funchal. The room and bathroom were very comfortable and spacious, and the shared kitchen was well equipped. The pool and garden space are very beautiful and such a peaceful place to relax!

The kitchen and shared space were comfortable but had a bit of a musty smell, but still comfortable spaces with everything you need nonetheless! Also the wifi was very spotty from the bedrooms, but stronger in the shared spaces.

The accommodation was about 15 minutes by car from the airport. Gaula has a beautiful soul, starts with a lovely church, really good bakery, authentic bars and very kind owner of Casa D’Avo Beatriz - Antonio. He was really kind and always helpful. The room was clean, the pool too. There is a big kitchen where you can cook too.

Logement sympa dans un petit village typique. Antonio est très gentil. Chambre plutôt agréable après une péripétie. Le fait d’avoir une cuisine est bien pour stocker et/ou cuisiner.

La literie n’est pas hyper confortable. Nous avons eu un soucis à notre arrivée dans une chambre qui sentait l’humidité. Antonio nous a changé de chambre et celle ci était mieux mais tjrs avec quelques traces d’humidité notamment les lampes de chevet .. La cuisine sent également mauvais. Un peu de rénovation serait appréciable pour les futurs voyageurs.
