Peaceful location, away from the city but close enough to access it with ease. Lovely pool & gardens, building full of character

Beautiful mansion and amazing location. People who works there are incredible nice as well. It was very quiet while we were staying there, mostly it felt like we had the mansion to ourselves. The set dinner menu from the restaurant is really recommended.

Excellent breakfast, cozy/charming little hotel. Friendly staff, especially reception. Menu in main restaurant was a real threat of authentic Thai dishes, but super pricy: THB 3,500 for one, inclusive of 2 glasses of wine.
Bathrooms definitely need renovation; also fitting a phone in each room would help. Laundry was slow. Accessibility by boat ONLY is a concern. Staff actively soliciting guests to write reviews mentioning their name during breakfast is not everybody's cup of tea; certainly not mine.
Close proximity to the river I suspect causes persistent drainage problems for this property, even in dry season: Staff was very busy with sand bags, clearing of water, etc.
