    Very well located in Sepilok, the swimming pool is great, surrounded by the forest, it's a peaceful place, in the evening you can do a night walk with a guide, we did it and it was worth it, we saw many animals.

    The rooms are very clean I was worry after hearing several reviews from other travelers about the dorm condition in Sepilok in general But the dorm I stayed in is extremely clean The room can be quite warm and humid because it is not air-conditioned

    The location is suberp. Just 5-6 mins walk from the Sepilok Orangutans and Bears but other than that, i wouldnt really stay in here. Made the mistake of booking the fan room, so i had it upgraded and paid for additional for an AC room. There’s 3 beds inside but each bed had different types of mattresses. 2 were so hard and 1 was so so. Upon arrival, no one will assist you. Our room was situated quite far within the premises, you had to walk and with stairs and no one will help you with your luggages. They will just say, cross the bridge and turn left. They wont even walk you to it. Since it’s far from the city proper (sandakan) we just opt to eat at their restaurants. Food was just okay. And the picture in the menu doesnt match the food served. We ordered grilled chicken (as pictured in their menu) but comes out as breaded chicken cutlets or tenders. Overall, we had a nice stay. But would rather just stay in a nicer place with good service and take a grab for a few minutes ride to see orangutans and the bears at sepilok.

    The location was amazing, so convenient to get to all the nearby attractions, pool is also super fun and clean and the area is the jungle so it’s such an amazing experience. But the rooms definitely need some renovation, the price for what you get is pretty expensive and without air conditioning it’s really hard to manage. The food is alright but definitely overpriced. The worst part is the staff that doesn’t smile, is not very helpful and definitely doesn’t make the experience better. I would say fine for 1-2 night but except not too much.
