Super thankful to have this affordable hostel within proximity of the market where you can find the best durians in Ranau. Only thing that can be improved is the flush to be repaired. I stayed during the low peak season so I had the entire dorm room to myself. Truly appreciate the cleanliness, location, service, vibe of the area. Do book before 5pm as the staff are only around before that to provide the sheets etc. Would stay here again when I'm back in Ranau. Thank you!

We stayed in a double twin room. The room is sparse as you would expect from a hostel. The floor and bathroom were clean. The beds were atrocious. The sheets appeared to have been used before, based on stains. The mattresses were worn, sagged and had little support. One of the bed's mattresses had a hole in it. The other box spring was stained. The beds had bed bugs.

Not recommended for those whom solo travelling. This place, no staff at all guarding or staying there after 5PM until next morning. Most shops near there also closed early. Quiet and scary location at night, no safety and surrounding quite dark especially staircase area to enter the property. Some more got drunkard loitering around there. That place not clean enough and quite dusty. I asked the staff to cancel my booking and will pay for 1st night only, but they said cannot already, I must pay for the whole booking 2 nights stay eventhough I'm not staying there. I did contacted Agoda agent regarding this matter, but agent not helpful. They urged me to negotiate with property owner for the issue. In the end, I've changed to other hotel near Maybank. For safety purpose.
