Ideal stay when you visit the surroundings of Rome

I was suprised with how this accomodation is presented with first time you arrive. Everything has a style and presents to you like you entered high sociaty venue. AC in my room was amazing during very hot days. Swimming pool was very nice with only one other visitor at it when I was there.

It is hard to explain, but I felt like I was not welcomed here. I was asked by receptionist if I want to reserve a table for the dinner, I said that - yes absolutely, but when I came there the staff looked at me that I am not supposed to be there. Improvising where I could sit. I had an amazing wine, first course and main meal but the weitresses did not speak and even undestand english so when I ordered a bottle of wine I got only a glass. But I do not know. This accomodation is very nice. It is just my feeling. I would love to come here in the future and give it another chance and improve this review.

Poor facilities and so run down.

On site parking. Easy to find. Air conditioning worked which was a blessing in the heatwave!

Unfortunately it wasn't the best stay for me. When i arrived at 11:30pm the gentleman at reception didn't speak a word of English as he checked me in. He tried to keep hold of my passport until the morning, but I told him I'd wait and take it there and then. When I got to the room the wardrobe door didn't close but kept creaking open. The room and bathroom were so worn down and shabby, and there were ants on the bathroom floor, but at that point I didn't really mind, I was so tired. I tried to have a shower but there was no running water. I went to reception to tell them and they said it was for the whole hotel and it would be on again in 1 hr. So after brushing my teeth with sparkling water from the mini bar I went to sleep. In the morning still no running water. The pool was also closed so I couldn't even refresh myself at the pool. The staff made no attempt to explain what was happening or apologise. I wonder how they were serving breakfast if staff couldn't wash their hands too? Unfortunately because of this, I checked out early and booked another nearby hotel for my second nights stay.

Value for the money

The location is perfect, very close to the highway. You can admire the sunset from the restaurant terrace. Verry good cuisine by the way and very friendly staff 🙂 The rooms are clean and spacious enough. I highly recomend it if you are traveling and need a one night stop.

Maybe a bit noisy till 1am if you have the chance to have an ongoing party at the pool 😁

UNACCEPTABLE RECEPTION BEHAVIOUR

I arrived in the middle of the night and the reception gentleman gave me the keys to the room and took my passport to check me in. He didn't give me the passport BACK (and I was too tired to realize it). Nor did he notify me that the payment wasn't charged via booking (although it was already non-refundable) and I that had to pay there (which is fine, but it's always good to know upon arrival). I had to leave early in the morning and I left my keys at the reception, there was no one there. Approaching the airport, I realized the passport was left at his desk. I had to go back (around 1 hour + 1 hour back to the ariport). I lost my plane and to pay 300 euros for another one. It is UNACCEPTABLE TO RETAIN THE OFFICIAL DOCUMENT OF ANOTHER PERSON (ON PURPOSE OR NOT). Just tell what the client has to pay, LET THEM PAY UPON THE CHECKIN and give the documents back. Absolutely horrible experience.

Italian charm

Looked like a big old farmhouse. Had a great restaurant downstairs with many local people eating there. At some point, it was probably a "luxury" hotel, and it still has that old Italian charm. Free parking with a nice view.

They kept our IDs until we checked out in the morning. Never had that happen to us but we were too tired to care about it. Also at check out they billed us for some dinner at the restaurant. Once we noticed that and told them we haven't dined there they quickly fixed the error.

easy to find with location near to main road, excellent restaurant with the best steaks cooked bbq style, fab chocolate soufflé, vast selection of wine from affordable to high end, hot shower with decent water pressure, plentiful easy parking for large vehicles

dated in places, soulless reception/bar area. plastic sheet on mattress in very hot room (in February). heavy curtains fixed at top so window only opened a little. shower screen should be bigger . being near to a main road does mean traffic noise with the window opened. no long mirror or any mirror in the bedroom.

AVOID AT ALL COST!! Better to sleep in the car 100%

The lady at the coffee machine in the morning. That’s it!

- No english speaking personnel - Heating not working (was told by receptionist to wait and hot air will come, never did - cold room the whole night - we were traveling with a 5mo baby) - Old and unclean bathroom (attached pictures) - airvent full of dust, never has been cleaned - No hand shower in the bathroom, fixed shower head on top - Failure to operate our booking reservation, they implied we left without paying when in fact we checked out normally, paid for the room service and were told everything is fine. This has been the worst hotel experience EVER for a price of 86 EUR / night. Would have honestly preferred to sleep in the car looking back.

None of the staff spoke English. But that is somewhat understandable considering it is far from anything touristy. We managed to sort of communicate with hand gestures and some words we knew hehe. The breakfast was good but an underwhelming choice of salty foods.
