We won't be back

Nothing, On a positive note, we visited the restaurant directly opposite the property, and the experience there was completely different. The food was delicious, and the lady owner there was friendly and warm.

From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere felt cold and unwelcoming. The lady managing the place was not friendly at all, she came across as rude and was not helpful when we had questions. Overall, her unpleasant attitude made the stay uncomfortable. We had hoped for a warmer and more hospitable experience, but sadly this was not the case.

Comff

Didn’t have breakfast as my wife was feeling unwell but the host was kind enough to give us tea. We were given directions to an excellent restaurant nearby. There was plenty of space to park most of it under cover. The host was very helpful when we managed to lock ourselves out of the room. The beds were very comfortable.

The photos are somewhat out of date but the hostess is very helpful.

Very pleasant owner. We could take drinks ourselves and had to inform the owner next day at check-out. Pets are allowed for free.

Great place to stay in south-west Germany

This is a nice, small hotel that looks like a traditional inn, with a central yard area for parking. The rooms are modern and very clean and tidy, with good bathrooms. The owners are very helpful and friendly. It's a short drive to Breisach or Freiburg for a range of restaurants and cafés, and it's close to the A5 autobahn so it's easy to reach. We stayed here on the way between Switzerland and Frankfurt, and it's a good stopping-off hotel.

Everything was as you'd expect in a good German country hotel.

Exceptional

A lovely place, hospitable host. Clean room, everything you need there. Very quiet place, away from the hustle of a big city. However, a much bigger Freiburg is just 17 km, easy to reach by car.

Very good price with a great value breakfast.

Restaurant closed. There was only one lady taking care of everything and she was getting stressed and cross with people.

Very affordable and quite comfortable option next to the highway A5.

The property is a very well kept traditional farm house with lot of character. The rooms are very good size. Our host was one of the best we have met. She was very gentle, caring and motherly. The 5 Euro breakfast included freshly baked bread, Muesli, milk, yogurt, honey, tea, coffee etc. and all the other condiments of a traditional continental style.

Nothing much to complain about but since It was very warm day (owing to heat wave in the region) the fan didn't have much effect. Also the room had one set of windows on one side and therefore no cross ventilation was possible. However on a normal day it would have been alright.

We did not order breakfast but wanted to have a coffee/tea in the morning ( we would pay of course!!) but even though the coffee machine was just behind the lady, she refused us ( twice ). You can see that there was absolutely no reason to decline the coffee for us, despite of being mad that we didnt order the full breakast. I never saw it happening before in any place I stayed. Not cool.

Very good

Typical German estate in a very nice area. Breisach is worth a visit. Freiburg is close. It's also very close to highway A5, which makes it a great place for staying a night when travelling further South. Very friendly staff. Everything was clean and worked, even though some of the furniture in the rooms may seem a bit outdated. Unfortunately, the restaurant is closed at this moment (summer of 2022), but there are several options in the neighbourhood. Parking is available in the courtyard. WiFi speeds were great (HD streaming was possible, reducing the need for the rather old TV set).

Minor point that may be important to others: there is no air-conditioning, just a fan. This was a bit annoying as we were visiting in a heatwave. For the same reason we were missing a small fridge.

I have stayed here about 6 times before, which speaks for our satisfaction. Good onsite parking. Nice family run hotel.

The only small disappointment this time was that they were not able to provide evening meals, which were previously very good.

Great value for money

Nice location just a short drive from Freiburg. One can do day trips to Freiburg, Basel and neighboring places in France. Wifi was fine. Parking available in the courtyard but also easy to find on the streets. Breakfast was good and just for 5 Euros. The owner is a nice and friendly lady. Oberrimsingen is a quiet little place. Even though our room had windows towards the street, there wasnt much noise to be heard (low traffic and 30 Km/h zone). No extra charges for pets.
