    An outdated hotel in need of major work. Location to local amenities and bars is good however most rooms are next to two nightclubs that are noisy and open till 4am. There is only one lift which is very, very slow. Rooms had comfortable beds but towels were stained. Carpets and furniture are all old fashioned and worn. In our first room window would not shut completely. Our second room smelled. The road leading to the carpark had broken glass and rubbish. Staff were friendly but when we asked to move to a quiet room away from nightclub (we had requested a quiet room when booking) said they were full, until I pointed out I had looked up availability then a room was found. Thin walls so people talking/playing music in their room could be heard. We will not use again.

    We requested a room with a nice view for our first visit to Southport. Our room couldn't have been further away and the view was dismal. Think it was a working garage.

    Well located right in the heart of the town a 5 minute walk to the front. Good value for money but hotel is very tired and could do with a makeover. Comfortable enough and staff are very helpful.

    Its very dated and in need for renovation. I was also very cold when I stayed. The room heating was not so good. But the plus side, good location in the middle of Lord Street. Not all bad.
