The New Guilderoy Hotel

I dont know whereabouts to start. This little hotel was a absolute gem of a find. The owners made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. We arrived later than expected (having traveled 5 hours) Simon greeted us and even though we interrupted his dinner gave us a full tour and have local advice, answered any questions (even from my daughter who's autism usually makes her mute). Simon helped us up with bags and ensured we knew everything and showed us our room. Our room was small (perfect for myself and my 10 year old daughter) but we had all the facilities we needed and access to more. My daughter instantly felt comfortable here and frequently commented "I love our little hotel" and is a huge fan of breakfasts! (Even trying new food!) Breakfasts are absolutely delicious and well worth adding, there is a choice of breads, brioche, fruits, yogurts, cereals, toasters and of course tea and coffee! Orders are cooked fresh and Rhona and Simon go out of their way to make every part of your stay comfortable (and tasty!) My daughter interacted and met the family pets (she was already won over, now wants to return!) Hotel is a 8 minute drive from the tower, I had a disabled badge and found local parking every time but there is also a tram system just a 2 minute walk away. (Or street trains as my daughter calls them) there is on street parking readily available by the hotel with no need of a badge or permit. Lovely quiet area, run like a well oiled machine that's 100% personal to your stay, clean and homely, far enough from the crowds but close enough to all Blackpools main attractions, we also went to the pleasure beach and sandcastle waterpark (both only a 18 minute maximum drive) paid for parking is available but may be better value to use the direct "street trains" if you are not local or do not have a badge.

The stairs where steep after a long day driving :) I put on 2kg due to superb cooking. Beds a little to comfy, im a insomniac and ive never slept so much. But seriously, we dont have a bad word to say about this little hotel, we had the perfect mother/daughter getaway.

This was our second stay at the New Guilderoy Hotel. Our room was just right, and facilities are everything you need , for a very pleasant stay. The breakfast is excellent , perfectly cooked every time, fresh fruit and cereals are also available. The location, on the north side of Blackpool, allows for an easy walk to the main front , and the tram is literally at the end of the road .

Breakfast was cooked fresh and to order. Service was very attentive. Very family orientated and a lovely friendly feel.

Come and go as we please, lots of channels on the TV, having a fridge in the room, breakfast was ok

Rusty items in the bathroom, bed not comfortable, toilet seat wouldn't stay up so my husband can take a pee, furniture falling apart, curtains not clean and could barely move them, big cracks in the ceiling
