Superb

The rooms are comfortable, with a little outside space (table, shared pool) and the kitchens are decently well equipped. The somewhat remote location is charming and the Grafagnana is an undiscovered gem.

Church bells are loud and start at 7am. This is of course not the fault of the property, but keep it in mind if that kind of thing bothers you. Gorfigliano is charming but somewhat remote, and getting anywhere will take a while, and will most likely only be possible by car.

We are a family of 5 (to adults and three kids (9-17y) who stayed at Agriturismo La Calamaia in Gorfigliano. Damiano and his parents provided the best service and did everything to make us feel at home. The village of Gorfigliano is very small (600 inhabitants) and placed in the mountains surrounded by the Apuan Alps (great for hiking). A peaceful place for those who wants to explore the real Tuscan mountain atmosphere and who is seeking tranquility and contemplation. The city has an outstanding pizzaria (La Nina), to small groceries, two cafe’s, and a warm local atmosphere. The apartment (two app.) is well-equipped, clean and built in genuine authentic materials and the apartment we lived in is spread over two floors and has both a balcony and a courtyard. The pool is not the biggest, but nice, clean and child-friendly. We made pizza in the pizza oven and were shown around Damiano's goat farm, which was really interesting and only a short drive away. To sum up….Gorfigliano and Agriturismo La Calamaia offers a tranquil escape in the heart of Tuscany's natural splendor. It is a place where visitors can enjoy the outdoors, explore historical sites, and immerse themselves in the authentic Italian village atmosphere. We will definitely be back.

Pleasant

The host was friendly, the view from the pool was amazing. There is a beautiful lake within a short walking dostance

There was no hot water in the shower. The apartment was really dark even during the day (you can deal with that by keeping the door open). There is a church nearby, the bell rings everyday at 7am The street leading to the agriturismo is really narrow, just park at the Parcheggio Piazza Cavalier if you have a big car and want to avoid damaging your wing mirrors

Schöne Umgebung für entspannten Urlaub

Sehr freundliche Gastgeber, gepflegte Wohnung und Anlage. Lademöglichkeit für unser Auto (Hausstrom). Schönes Bergdorf mit Einkaufsmöglichkeiten für Lebensmittel (Minimarkt gleich um die Ecke). Toller Blick von der Terasse und vom Pool aus. Badesee in Laufnähe (ca. 20 min.). Viele Wandermöglichkeiten in nächster Nähe.

Pulito, posizione comoda, vista incredibile.

Accoglienza ottima: i genitori di Damiano ci hanno accolto calorosamente e sono stati degli host disponibili e mai invadenti. Ottime le indicazioni di Damiano su parcheggio e ristoranti. Struttura comoda per raggiungere i punti di partenza di alcuni percorsi nelle Alpi Apuane. Vista bellissima.

A voler trovare una pecca, il parcheggio non é agevolissimo, ma se non si trova in paese la struttura mette a disposizione un parcheggio di emergenza.

Un posto da rilassarsi e rigenerarsi

Ho conosciuto La Calamaia per una ricerca mirata per le nostre vacanze in Garfagnana . Cercavo un posto fuori dalla strada turistica e sotto le Alpi Apuane. Così facendo una ricerca su booking mi è comparso questo bellissimo posto. La visione sui monti , il ritmo lento del paese di Gorfigliano, la piscina e il piccolo giardino appena fuori il nostro appartamento. La gentilezza di Damiano e della sua mamma . Ci hanno accolto come se fossimo di casa Da tornarci presto magari quando i castagni faranno vedere le foglie gialle e rosse.

I cuscini non erano comodissimi.

Damiano hat einige Tage zuvor Kontakt aufgenommen, was sehr hilfreich war. Er hatte eine riesige Geduld mit uns am Anreisetag, weil es infolge tech. Autoprobleme etwas später wurde. Auch danach war er immer erreichbar, wenn wir ihn brauchten. Und zum Schluss durften wir auch noch seine Mutter kurz kennenlernen. Insgesamt sehr angenehme Atmosphäre. Lieben dank!
