Pleasant staying at Villa Umami

Place was peaceful and clean with green environment. Host was very helpful. In beginning there was no hot water, but host fixed it immediately..

It's a very romantic, relaxing and comfortable place. Big olive garden, well lit and quite romantic. The check in process was very well organised. The host is very kind and ready to help with anything, even if he isn't there personally he will send somebody to help. We were very charmed by the house and the interior design and furnishing.

The house isn't in view of the beach.

Vila Umami Lux

The villa (left unit) was very spacious, especially the ground floor. Wooden finishing works and furniture was done with a lot of care and taste. There are all kinds of cooking facilities indoors as well as outdoors (which we didn’t use)You feel at home and you do not lack anything. The garden is kept neat. You park your car in front of the entrance. The nearest beach is within 3 minutes walking distance, you just go out, turn left, pass thorough an undeveloped property and there you are on the beach. There are chairs, chaise-longues and umbrella in the villa that you can take and bring to the beach. The entrance in the sea is sandy (no sea urchins) and since the beach is neither in a resort, or in a village, it is less overcrowded, except on Sundays, when traditionally all people from Alexandropuli (20 Kim’s to the east) go to the beach before late lunch. On weekdays Greeks also visit the beach after 4pm. Mornings and early afternoons the beach is practically empty. My wife and I used to explore all desolate beaches in the surrounding area all the way west to Maroneia, while our daughter and granddaughter most of the time used the beach next to the property, therefore it was very convenient for all of us. There are very good tavernas in the near villages of Mesemvria and Dikela (10 minutes by car). The host George was very helpful and responsive to our wishes. We enjoyed our stay in villa Umami.

The villa we stayed in is not completely independent, it is one of the two luxurious units in a two storey building situated in a big plot of land with a lot of olive trees and beautiful garden. There is a less luxurious unit in the back of the same plot. Having mentioned that, to be honest, though all three units were occupied by guests in high season, we did not feel any inconvenience, because of the clever dislocation of all units with separate parts of the big plot for themselves. Actually we were not bothered by the presence of the other guests. The master bedroom is fine, however, the other sleeping room is with a bunk bed with a stair. The warm water from the container was not enough for four people should they decide to take a bath one after the other.

Peaceful, beautiful and relaxing stay

The Villa itself is beautiful. It is spacious, bright, comfortable well equipped and cosy. The hosts have made it even easier since they provided everything you need for a summer holiday (sun beds, umbrella, toys for kids, etc.). The locations is perfect, since you need 2 minutes to the beautiful beach and a beach bar. Shops, and restaurants you need to reach with a car, though. Also, there is a big yard and 2 verandas so you have more than enough space for everything you imagine.

TV did not work at all, but there was a big storm in the area a week before, so this might be the reason. Internet had to be rebooted frequently. It is not something that we found disturbing, but my wish is only to inform the hosts.
