Lucca Bright Cathedral Apartment

I was a little worried because the property didn't have any reviews yet, but it was completely unnecessary, and I'll take it upon myself to write this first review. Let me start by saying that the property is managed by a professional company. All information and ongoing contact was via WhatsApp, and everything worked perfectly. The landlord was waiting for me at the apartment with keys and information. The location is perfect. Closest to the train station from all places within the old town, but in a very historic place right next to the Duomo (abd Piazza Napoleone which is a great addition for Lucca Summer Festival fans. The area is rather quiet, so probably not the best for partygoers, but it's close to shops and restaurants. The apartment is comfortable, except for the unusual shower cubicle without a curtain, which made it difficult not to splash the bathroom floor (and the poorly oiled door locks). We stayed in July, when it was EXTREMELY hot. The air conditioning worked perfectly, worth every cent, and the overall price was not excessive.

Only two mentioned details. Shower without curtain (but overaly the bathroom is very good) and and hard-to-open door locks (worth a few drops of WD40)

Location was perfect. Peaceful. Very helpful people.

Lamps in one bedroom: one too dim and one did not work.

Great location, well equipped, easy check in, snacks left for us, information about attractions and restaurants sent to us. Overall could not be faulted

Maybe a can of fly spray as we left the doors and windows open and the insects did like to visit.

Location was good. Not too many steps to reach the apartment. The living room, kitchen dining area was good. She thoughtfully left things for us to eat. It was well equipped. The bathroom was large and good to use. Couch was comfortable.

Lack of air conditioning, even though the booking.com site said there was air conditioning. It was hot and no air flow through the stuffy bedrooms. Fans were supplied but not effective and too noisy to use in the bedroom. We couldn’t leave the windows open because mosquitos came in at night. Disposing of rubbish was difficult and not clear how to do if you don’t read Italian.
