Accueil au top .personnel très serviable. Emplacement exceptionnel. Nous avons vu beaucoup d'animaux.
L'isolation sonore du lodge familial.

Overall (we booked the family cabin...and we are a couple in mid 60s/USA) in early December (2025), it was excellent for us: much space...a large kitchen, and big glass doors/windows with a nice view. The staff was amazing. We brought them different types of meat, and they did a braai (barbecue) for us each evening (free) - and even made our sweet potatoes on the grill. Both cooks (Nadine and Mavis) were amazing, kind and always looking to help. When we got a flat tire on the property on our own self-drive (that we changed ourselves), the staff called to town and secured a good spare for us...and made sure it was secured properly under the carriage of the car. It is a very well run operation. Included with each stay is a game drive (free)...and we did two night drives and one morning one with Dan, the dad of the family, and senior caretaker. He has been there for 17 years (after retiring as a lawyer in Pretoria). He knew the property intimately, and where to find birds (we are birders) especially Pel's Fishing Owl (we found two pairs and a lone individual). We struck out on Boulder Chats (had them in Botswana). Dan was a good guide. His knowledge and ours on the birds complemented each other.
We are bird photographers - so need to have the light at a certain angle (at our backs)...unobstructed views if possible. Dan was at best so-so in getting us into the right position to get the the shots of perched owls and others.

Nothing. I liked everything there. There was even a cleaning service for our clothes.

Daan and Nadine are good hosts, and made us feel very welcome. Daan is very knowledgeable as a guide. Self-driving is permitted, which we really appreciated. The accommodation was very clean, and the evening fire was lit for in the early evening, which was very welcome. We had the whole camp to ourselves, which was pleasant for us.
The accommodation is tired, and is in need of an upgrade. We felt that the staff were doing their best under the circumstances, but it seems as though the owners are reluctant to put money into the reserve and accommodation. The large electric gate into the camp was non-functional and dangerous - it fell off the rails as there is no adequate stop to prevent it from moving off the rails. It is an injury waiting to happen. The pool pump is in a bad state of repair and sounds as though a bearing is about to seize up. Some folks may appreciate the dogs on the property, we're not fans of being barked at each time we approach our vehicle or return from a drive.
