The perfect valentines stop over, the family running this establishment clearly know exactly what the are doing, it ooze

The location was perfect, with the all important parking - essential in Polperro, The hotel is beautifully decorated and absolutely spotless, instantly comfortable and welcoming, A gorgeous room with a very comfortable bed and premium bedding, loads of hot water so that the admiral could enjoy her evening bath. Premium hot drinks and an exceptional breakfast, What a fantastic stay 😊👍🏻

very comfortable solution in a unique village

very convenient place in Polperro with a parking spot which is a true privilege. The Hotel is cosy and very clean. Staff is super nice

there are a few stairs which may be a little problem with age particularly for luggage. Likely I had small suitcases.

Great location..

Excellent location, great, advantageous parking. Nice breakfast. 'Honesty bar' is a nice touch but with a cctv camera pointing at it and credit card taken on arrival not sure how much they are trusting Honesty..staff were friendly.

We had the 'budget friendly' room 10. Internal view was certainly Internal. Room nice enough but is a bit dark not for those wanting a bright airy room with bit more of a view. Condensation over night left some water on inside of window ledge. The hotel will tell you it's not a fact they hide and it wasn't an issue for us staying a couple of nights. I did email ahead asking to confirm if we were in room 10 explaining we were celebrating our wedding anniversary and offered us to pay to move rooms. A nice touch perhaps would have been a card or a free drink just to elevate our customer experience.

The radiator in the bathroom was quite close to the toilet system, we couldn't adjust the theromalstate as it was really hot, I did catch my leg on it.

Authentic and quaint little hotel for a relaxing weekend getaway

Super cute place in a lovely little town. Very central and authentic. Would come back again! The breakfast was very yummy too

Ok. No atmosphere, no welcoming staff. Breakfast staff was kind & perhaps would make a better receptionist. Far more

No atmosphere. No friendly welcome. Says dog friendly, but charges £20 per dog per night because of ‘extra cleaning!’ Insisted on taking bank details ‘ on file’ to charge for (as quoted by receptionist) any ‘damage’ to room.. ‘ as other people have trashed the rooms’…. But this isn’t necessary as payment has already been made when booking the room.. and any further charges made would need to be discussed and could be paid at that point. Holding people bank details, having been demanded!.. goes against st GDPR rules. And to state all this within seconds of arriving , parking , unpacking bags and arriving felt really insulting. Not all customers are going to trash the rooms, not all customers deserve to be treated with such disrespect & blunt treatment.

It was lovely, it was perfectly located and the icing on the cake was the wonderful staff. Di was always there at breakfast and her upbeat attitude and attention to detail was fabulous also Bec who we met at reception was equally as good. We loved our stay and would always recommend this fabulous hotel 👏👏

We were comfortable, looked after really well.

It was quirky, and pretty on first seeing it. The terrace was a good addition and weather was good enough to have breakfast out there. It was good location for visiting other areas of Cornwall. The car park was tight but just opposite hotel.

The staff were lovely, very helpful. The location is great and even better they have free parking which in a tiny Cornish fishing village is very useful. The bed was really comfy, breakfast was very nice.

The bathroom was small, not much room to move around in, but the shower was a decent size.

A rare gem of a place, would definitely return.

The Claremont is a delight. Set in a quiet location yet just minutes from the harbour, beach, pubs & restaurants, it has free parking (a rarity in Polperro). The room was spotless and very comfortable. It had a mini fridge with some fresh milk to go with the tea & coffee provided. The bed was v comfortable and a good sleep was further enabled by the provision of a fan. There was also iron with ironing board, toiletries and hairdryer. The staff were excellent; cheerful, really helpful, really professional. The hotel has a beautiful lounge with a well-stocked honestly bar of drinks & snacks, and complimentary hot drinks. They also had a book exchange service there with a good selection of books. There’s a comfortable outdoor seating area which we enjoyed after dinner near the harbour, making good use of the bar. Would definitely return, this is a rare gem. 10/10, thank you.

A peaceful and friendly place

Very friendly and helpful staff, though access to check in is a small window of 2 hours (notified ahead of our stay). Parking was great as the town is very small and not really suitable for vehicles. Very quiet and comfortable room with a lovely sitting room to read of an evening. Honesty bar a nice touch. Breakfast was great and service impeccable.

Bathroom (in particular the toilet) was in a tiny space but the rest of the bathroom was good for the room size. The town practically shuts down at 4. Only a few places open for dinner but the area is quiet if you’re looking for a tranquil escape. Nearby Looe might be a future prospect for more options

Lovely room overlooking the village. The room was clean and well maintained with good facilities. Breakfasts were delicious and there was lots of choice. Diane the lovely lady who served our breakfast was very helpful, very pleasant and made breakfast an happy and enjoyable experience. The location was within easy walking distance of some very good places to stop for morning coffee, lunch or evening meals. There were beautiful views and plenty of places of interest to see in Polperro and around Polperro. We had a wonderful holiday.
