The hotel was in a great location within the Polperro village. It has its own car park immediately across the lane. The whole facility was super clean. The owners and staff were all super friendly as were the other guests while we were there. The breakfasts were always freshly cooked and very tasty and filling. Free coffees and teas both in your room and in the lounge were appreciated too.
No real dislikes. However the stairs to the bedrooms were quite steep. Not a problem for most but could be a challenge for anyone with mobility issues.

Beautiful location, comfortable and clean rooms. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Overall a fantastic quality hotel.

Position. Polperro. Parking
No atmosphere. No friendly welcome.
Says dog friendly, but charges £20 per dog per night because of ‘extra cleaning!’
Insisted on taking bank details ‘ on file’ to charge for (as quoted by receptionist) any ‘damage’ to room.. ‘ as other people have trashed the rooms’…. But this isn’t necessary as payment has already been made when booking the room.. and any further charges made would need to be discussed and could be paid at that point. Holding people bank details, having been demanded!.. goes against st GDPR rules. And to state all this within seconds of arriving , parking , unpacking bags and arriving felt really insulting. Not all customers are going to trash the rooms, not all customers deserve to be treated with such disrespect & blunt treatment.
